That's an easy one, though I'm going to get there in a roundabout way. The framers, through the use of the electoral college (see Federalist Paper #68) separated the office from direct election didn't put into the constitution limitations on things like being a criminal.

Of course, there are arguments to be made whether there should be a stop gap by what would have been white "learned" men superimposing their will on the voters. Anyway the EC is now a symbolic process.

That's how being a felon isn't a disqualification. I'm sure somebody could add to that.
From what I gather in many or most states a felon can vote once his sentence is served and off parole making him/her a free man/woman again.

There should be rules like if indited for a felony a person shouldn't be allowed to run for high office until their case is concluded and if convicted then barred from running until sentence is fully served and once again free.

Politics used to have integrity where someone like tRump wouldn't even think of running for any higher office than small town sheriff or dogcatcher. tRump has tossed all that out and his devotees are willing to overlook those personality flaws as a great many of them possess the same 'qualities'.

I'm just glad I get to watch it all from across the border. For me anything done down there will have minimal or zero effect on me personally.

Good luck . WTF happened? Not in my wildest dreams could you all have found your way to this place after everything “they” said! Clinched my not getting a pardon as I have no desire to visit south of the border :(.
PS I do miss Cracker Barrel though :(
We get Cracker Barrel here in Alberta. I prefer Armstrong aged cheddar myself. Ever had that MacLaren's Imperial cheddar in the red tub and black rim? Concentrated old cheddar I just rake out with a fork over a sandwich etc. Very little gives a strong cheddar flavour better than oily regular cheddar. A 230g tub lasts me past the best before date most times. Cuts way back on amount of saturated fat consumed for those that watch that stuff. Slices of cheese fried up crispy like bacon makes a fine garnish as well.

I got a pardon when I went back to school in '87 but got an impaired after that still on the books. I told them if they asked but never got refused entry in the 90s, Was '94 when I got my license back. We lived 3 miles from a crossing so went across once or twice a week for cheap gas and dairy. Now I guess I'd need to get a passport to go south but I haven't tried to go across since we moved north in Feb. '01. Thinking of getting a passport as I'd still like to go to Scotland one of these days. On my bucket list.

The restaurant, not the cheese lol. And I’ve never tried to go across legally since booted but may have visited a few times, it’s a short boat ride ;).

Kind of funny how Trump hasn't even taken office yet but he's already done more than Biden did in 4 years. Shit is getting done and it's already happening. Light speed.
Citations please.

Your posts all seem to just be the same blatant lies tRump spews out as his talking points without any attempt to substantiate their validity at all.

I'd be more interested in finding out if you have any original opinions or are only capable of regurgitating the same old tired untruths.

To many opinions and to much to spee in a thread. I don't need to prove to others what I already set my mind on.

Fact: China owns and is continuing to buy farmland in the USA under the current administration

Fact: Trump along with the RFK team is working to end selling our land to the Chinese and forbid them from controlling our food.

FACT: Since the 1990s when food became heavily processed our life expectancy dropped and our obesity is high. Trump along with RFK sin to control and regulate food more heavily and taking after our European allies.

FACT: every world leader at this very moment is trying to get in Trumps back pocket. He is a master negotiator and manipulator and will get the deals and negotiations we need with our allies and even our 'enemies' to prosper.

FACT: the stock market grew over night after the election was announced.

FACT: cheaper energy costs means cheaper costs all around the board for everyone. Energy is the top contributing factor when it comes to prices. Those trucks hauling all your food? Energy. The cargo ships hauling all of your Amazon crap? Energy. Your farm equipment harvesting crops? Energy. It's more than just cheaper gas prices folks.

Those are just some quick tid bits. Those tariffs from Mexico on there electric vehicles don't even matter when you don't even have the infrastructure to support a shift like this yet. Not to mention that lithium mining is not better than drilling for oil. Let's get back to reality and start cutting costs. If it isn't broken don't try to fix it. At least until the infrastructure exists to support change.

I'm an old white male so a lot of what is about to take place (Project 2025) won't adversely effect me much, however women, immigrants, the environment, & the Constitution won't be so lucky. America deserves what's coming.....we're dumb as fuck.
Yup glad I only had one white male kid. With my health I'll probably die of listeria or whatever once we don't have an FDA
