This is another SCOTUS ruling being twisted into something it's not .
Like Bad Karma said, it's not at all a twist. What's more, it's very much what maga intends and hopes for. It's been the goal. Trump put in the judges he thought would help grant him kingship. There are now several justices in there that played a role in the Bush Gore BS, to more or less give the presidency to the republican, W. And the way it happened with all the judges trump appointed was so rushed and unconventional, he and the Republicans absolutely were trying to stack the court, and do so with judges who would better serve their goals over the actual law, and within the timeframe of his term. The pattern has been established through the years... Anyone who actually paid attention during the last trump administration, and has any memory of it at all, will remember what the republicans as a whole showed themselves to be during that time. I mean that on all levels- the base believed the news was fake if it made trump look bad, they showed countless times they favored conspiracy theories- basically anything and everything- as long as it came from trump, over facts and truth, and demonstrated they would not only back him to the death, regardless of any sin he may have committed, even if it went against their own supposed morals and code of ethics... even if he was cozying up to our biggest adversaries and gushing about dictators... even if he was blatantly disregarding the standard of law and order... not only would they back him unconditionally, but they also showed they'd attack anyone who contradicted his ways and lies, even if said people were simply doing their jobs, stating facts, and living in the real world. Point and case, Fauci, Raffensperger and Pence... For the house and senate, they proved they were nothing but spineless suckup cowards, who would fold on every issue if it meant protecting trump. They've proved they will even withhold aid to Ukrainians at trump's word, in effect being comlpicit in the deaths of many people. They have no soul. Their entire existence is being trump's tool. They will sell out the country if trump wants. The sad part is that a lot of the house and senate republicans do know better, but are either too busy trying to leech onto his popularity with his cult like fanbase, or too busy cowering under his shadow, too afraid of what that popularity amongst Republicans could do to them if they went against the orange one, to care. They ARE vile people, but more than that, they are Trump's bitches. And bitches they are, in large part to how trump treats them, and what he demands of them. Trump's used his cult as an army to back him no matter what he's done, and used fear tactics to keep control over anybody who might have been tempted to go against him. This is all factual, it's not just an opinion, it's reality. All anyone has to do is look. Anyway, after solidifying a cult fanbase, and a parade of loyalist lawmakers, the only thing left was to get the courts to go along with his absolute power trip, to make anything he wants to do, become inevitable. Enter the frauds he appointed. I don't know how trumpers don't see this... I mean, HE ALREADY TRIED TO OVERTHROW THE CAPITOL. HE'S ALREADY DENIED LOSING AN ELECTION AND TRIED TO STAY IN POWER. THIS IS ALL WELL DOCUMENTED PEOPLE. He also wanted to use microwave weapons on protesters, and fires anyone who tells him no. Again, facts. Trump is who he is, and his people are who they've proved themselves to be. All anyone has to do is have common sense and an objective view to see what he's been doing; the kind of people he continues to surround himself with, and the totally ugly and lawless behavior he chooses to engage in and continually gets away with... But alas, so many people in this country choose to ignore reality, and instead choose to believe what they want to instead. I await yet another deleted post by the riu fuzz, so read while you can.

naw Lemon i don't think that's it...js
I think he's onto something. She didn't lay out much of a policy platform, she spouted word salad when asked serious questions about foreign policy and domestic issues, refused to address issues important to Americans like healthcare, taxes, wages or inflation...

In short, her campaign strategy was to say as little as possible while her supporters screamed,"but TRUUUUUUMP!!!" at everyone who questioned her. Her enthusiastic acceptance of endorsements from the likes of Dick and Liz Cheney didn't help.

Finally, she was the anointed candidate; no one voted for her nomination, so no one felt like she was "their" candidate.

Democratic turnout was down roughly 20% from 2020, which tells me the campaign strategy was anything but inspiring.

Republican turnout was also marginally down, so I think those voters just stayed home.

Folks didn't vote for third parties, either; all of them put together added up to less than 2%.

Apathy, learned helplessness, no sense that she cared about her constituents. That's my conclusion.

Must suck to have a felony.
Yes it does. It sucks worse when it's for a victimless non crime (growing in a rec legal state) and you're convicted of helping people- people with cancer, FFS.

It pretty much ruins your faith in justice and your trust in government, nevermind law "enforcement."

America has been a Fascist State for a lot longer than we frogs in the boiling pot realize.
