I used to use glass mason jars, but they didn't hold much bud. Now that I have up to 3 pounds on hand at any given time, I use plastic Folger's coffee cans. They are air tight with no smell leaks, easy to access, hold a qp of bud and last seemingly forever. Good shit...

Say you have a dozen or more such jars and you are actively burping them and so on, it's easy to slip. I was harvesting 8 plants every 6 weeks for most of last year. The jars were drudgery.

I like my jars. They're paid for and pretty much indestructible. I also use them for making tincture.

I agree. I've dropped a jar before. Most of it was fine.....I wouldn't smoke it because of the possibility of glass in it. But I did do a alcohol wash and used the oil after filtering.

Thanks for the feedback on both sides. I'm guessing many folks have a bevy of storage containers they've tried/continue to use in both plastic and glass. I know I do. I used the sealable plastic containers for years with an oven bag tied off inside for good measure. They hold a good bit of pot.
I also have too many Mason Jars. Each method works "OK". IMO, certain weed just stores better than others. Both methods do allow quite a bit of degradation.

With a decent amount of weed to deal with yearly...I don't burp in jars/etc...I slow dry before I jar and I don't jar too early. If my garage is cool and I can stay around 60F I'll just let it hang. If it's too warm I will use large plastic bags to put entire stems into and slow it down that way.

We have an embarrassingly small carbon footprint here for Americans so I have no guilt buying a few Grove bags to see how they perform.

The actual physics of it was I had too many Hyundais and tried to park them all on the same high shelf. The last on on toppled the first one off ar the other end of the shelf from a height of 5 feet or so. Like one of those warehouse forklift fail videos we've all seen.
