Thrips.
I have thrip in my 4 x 4 tent so I ordered 100,000 loose predators in a bran carrier, what a fecken mess it created.
Bran everywhere. The leaves, the top of the soil, drip trays and floor. I'll use the pouches next time.
Reason I used the loose ones was to instantly cover all the plants leaves from top to bottom, no escape for the thrips!
I bit the bullet and pulled the plants outside for a clean up.
Been shaking the shit outta the plants to remove the bran. I vacuumed the top of the soil with the Henry and it worked a treat. I top dressed the plants with homemade compost and worm castings outta the bin and a heaped tablespoon full of dried seaweed powder I made.
I was looking out the back window the other day and I saw à mouse wandering about near garage door and thought nothing of it until I emptied the tent and thought one of the sticky traps I'd put in there looked odd. The edges were chewed and there was mouse shit ont floor. Another pest to deal with!

Top of soil. Mould/fungus on one.
Before and after.

All back in 4 x 4 again.

haha, I must say I feel like I'm ripping the breeder off!
totally agree with you, I don't mind paying for quality though but in my recent experience the high prices don't mean quality anymore. FDM super reasonable and quality to boot.
paid top dollar for Swami gear few years back, put 5 seeds in and none popped.
Thanks again for you recommendation dude, when I get round to them I'm sure il be impressed. I've got 2 packs of Archive PNWxFaceoff and pack of Sowahhh to go through next. what's your thoughts?

I jumped on the sowahh when I seen it back in stock and managed to get 2 packs of the pnwcornXface of for 35quid a pack too. I grabbed a snowman X for the same price. the tube was discontinuing them I'm guessing? I've wanted to run Karma and Archive for a while but never got round too it. Tbf though depending on what the current grow comes out like I might not want to run anything other than that ESB.

3 females 2 with a lovely pledgey scent, one of the two has a lovely lemon tang to it :eyesmoke:

They're a good example of tasty bud for not a lot of money :bigjoint:

I ended up with 9 females from 10 seeds tbh I'd rather have sown half that amount but I wasn't expecting 9 so what can you do but flower them.

Has anyone used isopropyl alcohol for a bug spray?

Google gives me results from 3% to 70% so I need someone with 1st hand experience using ipa?

I'm not intending to spray it direct onto the plants but I need to allow for overspray catching a few leafs and i don't want to fk up now.

I listened to the " we the growers podcast " and they mentioned Athena ipm is really good against most pests and they have an sop which I think means system of procedure that will eliminate whatever the problem is at different ratios for different problems

identify the pest, research its breeding habits, break the breeding cycle, then you maintain your IPM for a week or 2, depending on the infestation, then get predator bugs. Look at ladybird plant care, based in the uk and supply everything you need for biological warfare. Very reasonable too.
The nuke'em has worked for me when everything else failed, I even registered as a farmer to buy avermectin? can't recall proper name but it's banned I know that much. I bought a fogger and a hazmat suit for that shit too and still got fucked by the borg.

Never used a spray in my life minus organic home brews for plant pests nothing dodgy stuff like garlic etc but i never let it get so established that I'd have to think about using something a bit more this why I like hand watering too the more your around the plants the more you notice things the quicker you can act I'd sooner use ladybugs just expect them to suicide into the light indoors rather fast unfortunately is there only downside otherwise they do deffo work if you got any aphids throw a few wasps in they love em Ive heard good things about praying mantises as well they meant to be good for eating pests too bit cold here tho for em mind you
