Mornin'. "Winter Storm Watch" here... 8-18". Looks like we may see a decent upslop....'er...upslope on this one. Dat's what it takes to see the dumpage here. It's always a crap shoot as far as "how much"...and the forecast never really matches the "Warnings" that eventually come. However, if there's measurable snowfall listed on this forecast...we usually eclipse it by a bit due to the fact we are a few hundred feet above the valley floor/closer to the peaks. Ditto on low temps. We are 7-10 degrees lower on average than the forecasted low for the area due to our location next to the creek/at the bottom of the valley/elevation. Dat cold air likes to sink...especially if the peaks are covered in snow. Whoosh...down it comes...
It's that crazy time of the year...even crazier this year...where I have the lawn mower (used yesterday) gassed and ready sitting next to "The Donald"...my huge, Orange, Ariens snowblower.
Ah..."Springtime in the Rockies".
