The auto is healthy and young. In a good medium under good light.
We encourage people here in these grow forums. They come here for support and help. We don't tell them to just quit and hit the dispensary if they fail.

We help them be successful.

Yeah, your entitled to your opinion but being that critical on a new grower is not cool at all.
Its ok man EC was playing around, no worries. I thought the post was funny.

I have a friend who grows Autos. Never seen a finished plant pic or been hooked up with a little nug from him

I've never understood the appeal of autos. And if sexing a plant is too much for a new grower, buy fems.
The appeal of autos is simple, I dont have a HUGE tent, my tent is 31x31x63 inches so i need a plant that isnt gonna be huge. Also I love the idea of not having to fuck with my light timer, set it on one setting and leave it alone and I dont have to worry about light leaks during the dark cycle since my tent is in my bedroom where my computer is, and I spend most of my free time. I did buy fems no worries there

That is one reason I picked autos. My tent is 24" x 24" x 56" :)

This is the part where you’re factually incorrect. It’s really simple. I grow both. Do you? Have you ever grown autos? Beyond your friend who either is a bad grower or doesn’t want to share, what’s your information source? Science has long proved assumptions like yours false.

I guess I just don’t understand the vitriol and misinfo about autos. Just about everything anyone grows these days is genetically manipulated. If you don’t like autos, why chime in on a thread about autos? Just don’t get that….

Ps: less light for longer or more light for shorter? That argument is probably about a break even.
I didn't know it was thread about autos? I was just chiming in on the back and forth about autos because I think there's more to offer from Regs and they're a bit more stable when it comes to potting/uppotting and they've been proven to be stronger in the past. It's already been stated, if you can set a timer for 18/6 why not 12/12.

All these concerns does not mean you need autos. And if setting a timer twice is a pia for you, then autos are for you.
Hey, all a matter of choice.

I have one of the old school mech style ones with the tabs you push up or down for on/off, Annoying to change lol. Also, Autos are suppose to be more touchy and harder to grow, so If i can nail them down first I should be able to pull lbs of a reg when I get to them. I will do regs at some point, just not right away.

I use the same type of timer too. I'm having no problems growing my first auto. Today I'm trying something different. I'm having a cloudy day indoors. I turned down my light a little. When you grow outdoors, There are cloudy and sunny days.

Yep way easier to manage in a small space.
Not really sure that's actually the case. With photos, you can hack those fuckers to bits to get them to the shape and size you need. Take whatever time you need to do it. Top early and often, hang a net over the plant and see how many squares you can fill with branches.

I've got no dog in the photos vs. autos debate - grow whatever you want, however you want. I just find some of the rationalizations interesting - 'my tent is too small' 'I don't' want to re-set my timer'.

I'm going to try a photo next. I'm growing an auto for my first one in my dinky tent.

Whatever you grow, you're kinda knee-capping yourself right off the bat with these short tents. Height is pretty consistently an issue for me in my 80" tall tents. You planning on doing LST to keep the plant shorter?
Autos do tend to grow much shorter based on their faster life cycle. Not a totally unimportant consideration. Among many draws for me is the fact that I tend to have to travel every 95-100 days or so. I hadn’t considered it initially, though that is a perfect time window for running a full cycle of autos without having to worry about harvesting early or asking someone to look after things for me. That, along with potent and tasty herb are some of the drivers in my auto habit.

Your plants like light. No need to imitate some of the setbacks of outdoor growing (like cloudy days). An advantage of indoor is not being restrained by what nature offers. Up to you of course. Turning down the lights likely just slows things down.

Oh I will be doing photos at some point for sure, I just want to get a few quick harvests in so that i have some bud on hand cause I can not afford a dispo, and i need to get my pain level in check.

Kinda why I run my lights at 100% from jump, no one turns the sun down to 25% outside lol

Extremely small for 10 days old.
10 days old for a comparison.

Good luck.
Are yours Autos? What kinda lights do you have? Are you pushing nutes already? Those look awesome BTW!

Mine is an auto, Mars Hydro TS1000 150w light, and they have not had any nute feedings yet. Just water and Humic Acid first feeding isnt for another 4 days, then very weak Nute solution(IF the soil is Dry enough to water again).
