Nutrient question.

I dunno, I grow in dirt and I see a lot of plants that have a red or purple stem thing going on. Could be a deficiency, could be my soil mix, but if there's no other symptoms and it isn't causing issues... then who cares? And yes it can be a phenotype expression too. I wouldn't worry about it personally.
oh im not worried, just curious. Couldnt find any info on if this strain is a light, med, or heavy feeder so I wasnt sure if it was a symptom or a Pheno.

If you mean the red stems of fan leafs, I get those all the time. As far as I know after growing couple years its anthocyanins.

Usually see it on leaves closest to light and it gradually lessens further down the canopy. I think I read its genetics too but I get them all the time under LEDs.

Recently found Ive been pushing the ppfd and could raise light so explains why I steadily see this until I raise or dim light.

I believe the red on petioles, is like sunburn on humans. Usually the underside is still green.

Intreasting, I do run my light at 100% and its about 24in above the plants. Could be part of it.

Ive gotten that on the actual stem too when it had direct light kind of like OP has going on right now. So OP just a heads up it can happen there too.
One of my seedlings that Just broke the surface and is 1 day old has a Red Main Stem, I think it might be a Pheno type with this strain. I dont think he has been exposed to enough light to get "sunburned" consider its not directly under the light its off center to the edge of the light.

That to me is normal.

The petioles, not the main stem. Ime, the petioles on the plants I've grown, have been green, until I start pushing them with more ppfd. The undersides stay green, and lower petioles stay green.

Pics would be best but every seedling Ive grown that I can remember was purple up to the cotyledons. For sure don’t want it to stretch so the right amount of light and purple I dont see an issue.

Heres a clone that is just chilling there that has a lot of this purple we speak of. On the stems too.

The petioles and stems on my plants pretty much stay green through veg, until just before stretch ends...

Right about this point, as I increase the light, is when the petioles start changing. Could be something else, I just figured since the undersides stay green, it must be a reaction to the increased light.

I am running the following nutrient solution, about two tablespoons black strap molasses(feeding the mycos), 4g Megacrop 1 part nutrient, and 1/2 ounce Safer Gro Humax Liquid humic Acid in One gallon of water. Media is peat, coco coir and Vermuclite. Strain is Mexican Red Hair Sativa Autoflower Fem. Plant is growing well and for the most part, at least to my eyes looks healthy, But I am noticing that a couple of the stems are turning a redish color. I googled this and it says Magnesium deficiencies cause this, the problem I have with this is that both the Megacrop AND the Black Strap molasses contain Magnesium so I do not get how I can be deficent? Black Strap molasses alone contains 17% Magnesium per serving.

Is it possible that this plant is just a very heavy feeder and I just need to increase the nutrient load? I am running about 900ppm and the pH of the water going in is 5.8.
Or is it possible that the stems turning red is just natrually part of the appearence in this strain?View attachment 5358109View attachment 5358110

As you can see its not ALL of the stems which also perplexes me. Im not worried or freaking out, just curious. Not worried cause its growing like crazy I can notice visual size difference day to day.
I've had the same problem before and I think it was just The genetics. But who knows.

I think most times its just genetics. I've turned over some great runs that had the exact colors. No worries.
