Russia,so vast,so historically tragic,so much potential,so enigmatic, their pride and threats over their nukes are all they can hold on to that gives them relevance and makes them feared, easily understood when juxtaposed w/their inability to progress as country, politically or economically, yeah they have a few legit gripes but they have the largest geography of any country and an abundance of natural resources, get on w/it and over it.

Nobody here is paying much attention to the fighting in Israel and Gaza because it won't change the map and has been going on my entire life. Israel won the war and lost the peace, no justice no peace. People will just die for nothing, at least the Ukrainians are dying for something, even if the Russians are not. So, excuse me for not paying too much attention to this unimportant war and ongoing injustice with no resolution in sight. The war in Ukraine will change the geopolitical map of Europe and concerns the security of liberal democracy globally. This is largely a religious squabble over the same land driven by religious fanatics on both sides with no resolution. In Russia you have clear violations of international law by one authoritarian country invading a liberal democracy purely for imperialistic reasons and in violation of international agreements.

All wars are not created equally and some matter, while others do not and it would be the same for a Chinese invasion of Tiawan, we would do more than just supply arms. Israel brought a lot of this upon themselves by their unjust and repressive behavior, religious bigotry and the Palestinians didn't make friends by spreading hijacking and terrorism globally. As far as I'm concerned, it's a waste of news time to cover it and it has been on going constantly in Lebanon, but never made the news.

Netanyahu's rad right gov. and repression attempts on Israel's courts distracted Israel's security services,no acceptable solution exists to a state created to satiate the guilt of the West over the shortcomings in dealing w/the Holocaust, prior occupants were evicted and Jews feel they earned it through unimagineable suffering.Wars and over 70 yrs. of killing and tragedy have followed w/no end in sight. If Hezbolla gets into this in the north this thing could spiral in a major way.

Uncle Sam is learning lessons and so are other militaries, new technology has changed how war is conducted. There are plenty of retired US generals in Ukraine and watching it along with the Pentagon and even West Point, Ukraine is like a giant sandbox where tactics and new technology are tested on unwitting Russian mobiks.

Everything from unit size to tanks will change and there will be a lot more drones of all kinds and systems like starlink will become even more important for national security.

Despite Russian disinformation Ukraine didn't supply arms to Hamas as is heavily promoted on Twitter, Iran did though, and they probably got some captured arms from the Russians to give to Hamas. It will only fool the idiots and magats, not intelligence agencies or diplomats or even the media. Russia is aligned with Iran and this will only drive Israel and Ukraine closer together and cause Israel to supply arms and technology to Ukraine.

The magats are in a bit of a bind, supporting Russia and its Iranian allies against Israel as the sides line up, the Saudis hate the Iranians too and are their deadly enemies. I would expect Israel to strike Iran over this and they might strike back with drones and missiles, Israel has long range drones and missiles with the capability to kill the Iranian leadership and strike vital points with great accuracy. I think the days of sending in manned fighter bombers to strike targets in Iran might be over, maybe to launch cruise missiles from a safe distance.

If congress votes aid for Israel, then it must also vote to keep the government open and fund Ukraine too the democrats will insist and not many republicans will want to block aid to Israel, not many democrats either, but keeping the government open comes before all other considerations. This might end up breaking the magats strangle hold on congress and some republicans might vote with the democrats, they only need a half dozen, if the magats insist on shutting down the government or can't elect a speaker.

Second army in the world, they said............

what could go wrong.......js
Fortunately for them they use an ignitor and not a detonator and it is often located at the top of the solid fuel center hole. Still why would it be so hard to load such a thing? HIMARS uses interchangeable missile "cassettes" that can be loaded in a minute or two with an integrated crane, then they expend their missiles, they leave and stop on the way to the next location for a couple of minutes to reload.

Maximum combat power in time and space, a magazine fed rifle is better than a musket, best to have your preloads as bullets and mags than as powder and shot, works for missiles too.
