War

I follow the war, it is important technologically and will change the geopolitical map of Europe and Asia. It is also part of the larger struggle for liberal democracy globally, including at home in Canada and America. Discontent grows along with the wealth gap and many regular people are struggling as they never had to before yet increases in technology and productivity should have us living better than 50 years ago.

War is waste and a crime, it is always bad, and, in the end, a stupid idea employed by stupid people. As we have seen though, there are assholes running countries and many are not democratic much less liberal. We see criminal government abroad and we have recently seen it in America, the difference is the criminals are in court in America and in power there. I'm afraid we will have to study war for some time to come, because assholes often gain political power and turn their countries into shit holes who sometimes strike out at others.

Another wave of conscription, voting and making sure it counts, is easier.

From the drone boat footage I've seen, mounting a couple of RPGs on the drone boat would suppress enemy fire on the run in to the target and damage the target too. A javelin could do it from well over a mile away in direct attack mode, fuck them up before hitting them, shoot back when they shoot, if they aren't shooting then keep going. They don't need to be aimed, they are aimed with the boat, just the optimum range needs to be determined and the angle of the fixed launcher tubes set.

The threat to Europe from Russia will soon be gone and between the EU and Ukraine they should be able to take care of their own security and then some. Focus for us is shifting to China, now that Vlad is almost done, one demon at a time. Any attack on Taiwan would threaten the national security of every technically advanced country, they make the most advanced microprocessors there and will be for a while, as we begin to home source such things and train the people to produce them. We, the Americans, Asians and EU have vital national security and economic interests at stake with Taiwan. Another example of a clever liberal democracy making itself strategically vital to western interests and taking care of the interests of its citizens.

Russia-Ukraine WarUkraine Strikes Headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet

The pre-dawn attack damaged two ships and triggered a large blaze at a naval shipyard in Crimea that plays a critical role in Russia’s war effort.
Here’s what we’re covering:

The shipyard strike underscores Ukraine’s growing capacity to hit targets deep into Russian-held territory.

A Ukrainian attack targeting the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea damaged two ships and triggered a large blaze at a sprawling naval shipyard that plays a critical role in the Russian war effort, according to Russian and Ukrainian officials.

The pre-dawn attack on Wednesday appeared to be the largest on the Russian naval headquarters in the occupied port city of Sevastopol since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine nearly 19 months ago and underscored Ukraine’s growing capacity to hit targets deep into Russian-held territory.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that Ukraine had fired 10 cruise missiles at the facility at the same time as it targeted a Russian warship on the Black Sea with three maritime drones. Air defense systems shot down seven cruise missiles, and the patrol ship Vasily Bykov destroyed the unmanned drones, the ministry said.

yeah i read that too......coincedence maybe?
Bad news maybe and you don't tell the boss bad news, all tyrants get that way in the end, and it looks like the end for this guy. Trying to get medical help to fly in to treat him would be difficult, unless the medical team had a death wish and there was a mountain of money to be had, but you have to live to spend it!

naw he won't be, and who know maybe the Chechen will rise up again and take back they're country...
They are fighting in Ukraine preparing to do that now, like Vlad, he has many enemies, and most are in Ukraine gaining training, experience and networking with others who feel the same way. Ukrainian intelligence is acting like a dating service for the CIA and other western intelligence agencies making introductions and they will support them in their struggle, after the Russians are weakened a lot more and they have nothing left in the tank. I mean some people trained in the use of commercial drones in Ukraine with a few million bucks and some support could create havoc back home when the war is over in Ukraine. Drone parts and the financing are untraceable dual use products after all and easy to conceal. If you were working for the CIA and wanted to make Vlad's life miserable such activities would be on your radar.
