Please help me identify what these spots are

From what I can gather online, a full dose of calimagic is closer to 400-500ppm. 120ppm is approximately 25% the recommended dose. Do you still think 120-140 is a good range for the calimagic? I was running at 25% calimagic. Just double checking

PPM readings from an EC meter are useless unless you're measuring table salt.

At the max dose of 5ml/gal CalMagic provides the following elemental ppm: 13 ppm N, 81 ppm Ca, and 25 ppm Mg
Also, at 5ml/gal the EC would be about 0.7EC

Thanks for that advice. I've been stating ppm because that's what the feeding chart for my nutes refers too.

I was nervous about adding too much nutes to the fresh batch I mixed up so I followed the 1.8ml/g ratio and was well under my target EC. Had to another 1.8ml/ nutes to the mixing bin to get get in range. I mixed in order when adding more. Did I just risk nutrient lockout as gh series has a person mix micro first to avoid lockout? I saw this question asked on another forum and the answer was no, but my paranoid ass wants to double check that I'm all good before doing a water change.

If I recall correct in your last post you gave only water and that is the first leaf of the plant. I do coco which is similar and do nutes from day one. There the whole “ It takes weeks for changes to show” where that might just now be showing.

I literally started wondering this last night. Things have progressed and started appearing on other plants and nobody seems to know what's happening. That got me thinking, maybe it's a host of nutrient deficiencies starting to show from the late start with nutes. Here is a pic of what a set of leaves looked like prior to removing them. The only thing that half resembled what I'm dealing with is septoria and with nobody offering up any other suggestions (different thread) except one longtime grower agreeing that he's leaning towards septoria, I took the online recommended treatment step of removing the affected leaves. Seemed better to assume it's that and take action than do nothing and just watch things continue to worsen with no hope of ever recieving a diagnosis.

not in dwc. maybe dirt?

as an example, you can see an Mg deficiency, foliar spray with epsom and fix the Mg deficiciency in a period of 48 hours (or less)

not really. usually it's either over-feeding, pH not in range or root rot as the cause of problems in hydro.

White spots normal trichomes.brown spot ph problem if you had it go up and down a lot.or some nute deficency.what nutes are you using
After reading you are using ro water and using 1/4 cal mag soo best bet is plant needs more of it.especially if you are using led lights magnesium goes fast.it will start in lower leafs and make them brown and crumbly

Yes, Im using LED lighting. The ph has been stable throughout the grow and sits at 5.9-6. Im using gh nutes at 400ppm + the calmagic. I've been stressed that I'm not using enough calmagic but longtime growers here, who know I'm using ro, have told me not to go any higher that 120-140ppm with it. I've been on the fence about whether to just say eff it and up the calmagic. I've sifted thru a few different forums and most say to use 5ml/g with ro, which is a full dose. The least I saw was someone using 3ml/g. Honestly, I'm at the point where I would rather experiment with upping the calmag. If it helps then I know what ratio to use in future grows. If it fry's the plants, atleast I will know what ratio not to use in the future. Worst case I lose the plants and can start fresh, running sterile from day one (or bennies), beginning nutes day 1, and exercising the other lessons I've learned thru my mistakes this grow. I picked up some ocean forest, happy frog and perlite for my smaller tent as I have a longtime buddy who's been growing for years and will mentor me. I figure having that grow as a backup plan is better than putting all my eggs in one basket. I originally planned to do soil in that tent anyway, because i can't justify the cost to build another rdwc and purchase a chiller, and dont have the ability to power air pumps in both tents and the pumps for my reef tank in the event of an extended power outage.
