we've all admitted that this was carelessness...people are sometimes careless, especially people with a lot of responsibilities, who are actually trying to see to those responsibilities. Biden does not have a history of such incidents. he doesn't make a habit of taking classified documents.
when they were discovered, he could have attempted to cover it up, but he did not. he turned them in like he was supposed to, and continues to cooperate fully...
if this situation alarms you this much, it makes me wonder at your lack of alarm over much worse situations...
i don't recall your outrage over the previous situation, where the former leader of the free world stole shit, lied about it, and obstructed justice...if you expressed such outrage and i missed it, i apologize...if you didn't express such outrage, i am curious why, in the light of the current situation.
Alarmed this much? I made some comments about how it was careless and it was. Yes I'm alarmed as every US citizen should be.

For some reason all you guys can do is go on about how what trump did was worse. Yes it was but this has absolutely nothing to do with trump despite your attempts to justify what Biden did by comparing it to what trump did. The two instances are seperate.

It's that tribal mentality showing. He criticized our Chief. Get him!

That's some scary shit right there. It's not if but how much sensitive information was shared and given to foreign entities behind the walls of Mar A Lago.
The "I declassified it" nonsense is laughable. That's like Obama saying he has a bunch of boxes in the garage but it's okay because he declassified them with a verbal directive at some point in time.

These guys are scum.
Top secret no more. Copies are likely already at the Kremlin and in the hands of anyone willing to pay trump for them. That traitor would not hesitate to share top secret documents if there was money to be made.

Donald is threatening witnesses again and when they indict him Jack will throw it all in his lawyers face when Donald is looking for conditional release until trial. He is getting nervous, she doesn't need another grand jury, but can proceed directly to indictment if she wishes. It is all adding up and there will be more when the heat gets turned up, Donald might be lucky to get out when he pleads in front of a DC federal judge over the documents and obstruction. I think they will have to indict Donald over the documents, the national security community and anybody who labored under the rules will demand it.

Graham calls for special counsel to probe Biden’s handling of classified documents
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, on Wednesday called for Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate the handling of classified documents by President Biden while he served as vice president.

Graham said the appointment of a special counsel is necessary to investigate Biden after Garland announced the appointment of career prosecutor Jack Smith to investigate former President Trump’s possession of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

“I think if you believe a special counsel is necessary to assure the public about the handling of classified documents by Donald Trump, you should apply a special counsel to the mishandling of classified documents by President Biden when he was vice president,” Graham said during an interview with Martha MacCallum on Fox News.

Biden’s aides reported finding a second batch of classified documents at a different location than his Washington office, where fewer than a dozen classified records were found. The Washington office is located at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.
Trump turned over 15 boxes of records, including more than 100 classified documents, to the U.S. National Archives a year ago.

“If there is not a special counsel appointed to find out how this happened with President Biden regarding classified information … it will hurt the country,” Graham warned.

When informed about the FBI raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence to retrieve classified documents, Biden asked “how could anyone be that irresponsible?”

“Garland, if you’re listening, if you thought it was necessary to appoint a special counsel regarding President Trump, then you need to do the exact same thing regarding President Biden when it comes to handling classified information,” Graham said.

Graham warned that many conservatives believe prosecutors and the media are applying a different set of standards for Trump and Biden.
“Every conservative out there is completely disgusted with the standard that exists in America when it comes to conservatives and everybody else,” he said.

Sen. Josh Hawley (Mo.), another Republican on the Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Garland Wednesday requesting the appointment of a special counsel and complaining of what he called an “astounding” double standard.

“In President Trump’s case, that retention [of documents] triggered an unprecedented raid on the home of a former president, rationalized with a thicket of partisan doublespeak. President Biden has not experienced anything remotely similar,” Hawley wrote.
Hawley asked Garland to disclose when he learned that Biden’s office possessed classified documents and to provide a full explanation of the Justice Department’s decision not to dispatch FBI agents to search the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

He also wants to know what communications Garland has had with the White House and the National Archives about the classified documents in Biden’s possession.

Biden said Tuesday that he was “surprised to learn” of any classified documents in his possession.
CNN reported that documents at the think tank include intelligence memos and briefing materials related to Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom.

I think the same thing when I look to both the left and the right here in the US. Shits going to hell and neither side can do a damn thing except fight with the other. Yes we have sides. Two of them. Both can be dysfunctional and both have their zealots. I'm sure it's no different up north just with more than two sides. Canada has 5 or so different factions doesn't it? Here we just have black and white. If you're gray you get hit from both sides.

US politics is like coffee. It's either regular or decaf. If you drink tea nobody likes you.

The way I see it, only one side is interested in governing so that’s why the both sides argument falls flat.

Canada isn’t all that different, it’s pretty much a left vs right thing too. The difference is that votes get diluted by multiple parties on either side. Currently the left or progressive vote is distributed between three parties. Also like down there, the uninformed typically vote conservative.

But we have less of a range across the spectrum than the US. Bet the US would be closer to us (except the socialized medicine) if they did not have the primary process where safe seats allows the one that squawks the loudest gets the nod. Part due to Gerrymandering and, aw shit, got distracted and forgot the other thing.

The problem with your line of argument is that Democrats did in fact get things done during the short interval where they could. You don't like what got done. That is why you want to deny it. But the majority did and that's why there wasn't a red wave in the last election.

What you are doing is complaining. Not one bit of substance in anything you said right there and it was wrong at that.

So you've seen democrats trying to hold the US economy hostage to get what they want?
The democrats tried to take away women's right to make their own health care decisions?
The democrats passed resolutions stating that homosexuality is wrong?
The democrats are campaigning to take away parent's rights to raise their children the way they want to?
Democrats tried to take away the right for lgbtq people to be married to each other?
Democrats want to trash safety net programs for poor people?
Democrats want to pass more tax cuts for rich assholes?
Democrats want to trash the IRS, which would enforce that rich fucks actually pay what they owe?
Yeah...Until you see that...Both sides aren't the fucking same.
