That's not what i meant, I'm not talking about just modern polys. Do you have an old landrace that gives you smiley vibes to think about?
A good jamaican is good for that kind of thing in my opinion if thats the sort of thing you after its less full throttle vs say some thai laotian or even african strains like say Malawi or even say hazes like say amnesia for example but its still a uplifting kinda sativa high and obviously long blooming as well

Right now I'm digging the kwazulu. It was the only plant that I actually saved during a spidermite infestation.

It surely is coincidence but after I started using it exclusively, daily a couple weeks in, started having extremely deep introspection which has led to a change in perspective in my personal life.

So the kwazulu is now my only permanent plant.

Maybe somewhat sentimental in a few short months

Mine were all from the 80s and all grown outdoors. They were all "day wreckers", #1 was Humboldt County skunk from 1985, scary strong, mind altering , hard to belive it was cannabis. Jamaican and Thai weed from the late 80s, both stupifying and unique. A strain we called "Bear", outdoor grown about 88, we never developed a tolerance to it! You were all but incapable of speech for at least 30 minutes after you smoked, every single time! And some Hawaiian strain from 1983. The first real creeper I smoked, incredibly cerebral. Pretty much all old school land races, love to find any of those again!

That stuff was the shit. I remember getting Humboldt County weed before 1985. We called it Skunk and it was coming from Humboldt County. Grown outdoors and dank as hell. A gram would stink up a room. Portland would be flooded with it after harvest. It would show up around November. $10 a gram even back then. One or two hits and you were good to go. We were still getting the real Thai Sticks then as well along with Hawaiian and a bunch of South American Sativas. It was a good time to be smoking weed.

If I had a choice I'd choose the weed from back then over all the stuff out there today with cartoon names.

Wedding poop from Thug pug genetics. Urinal cake is close second but the 3k price tag will keep me from buying wedding poop again! A good reason to make own seeds l guess! Is this year's plan anyways!
$3,000!?
Look I'm a newbie & don't know anything. But I'm getting some real "beanie baby" meets mid 90's baseball card vibes from the current seed market lol

What was really good was breaking up some Blonde Lebanese hash and mixing that with some of the Humboldt County weed and rolling a joint. Then we'd spread some Honey Oil on the outside of the joint and spark it up. We'd be glued to chairs for a couple hours listening to Judas Priest, Alan Parsons, Iron Maiden, etc... The weed always lined up with the fall psilocybin mushrooms we'd pick. Memories of sitting around the table high on mushrooms playing the board game RISK with a plate of good bud, a bong going around, a beer in front of you, and a fifth on the table as well. Good times.

One of the first plants I ever grew 30 years ago were from some seeds that a buddy gifted me. I have no idea what the genetics were, but he told me there were good, so I popped them and got a few plants. One of the plants that was the runtiest came out with this amazing indica sharp in-your-face grapefruit. It was really quite amazing punch you in the nose grapefruit. I've tried other grapefruits over the years since, but nothing has come close yet. I know that County Line Genetics has an old school grapefruit line, so I may try that.

You're in Denver then. They skipped Portland so screw them. :fire: I saw them the last couple time they played here. The stage was pretty phenomenal the last time but the performance was not all that great. Neither was Judas priest the last time I saw them. These guys are in their 70's. They're not going to get any better. I'm still envious that you get to see them live.

Closest thing I've had to that Blonde from the day is pressed dry ice hash I made.

It even worked for Pin and Jar. I still have some left. Maybe I'll hotknife some later.

A walk down memory lane.

When I was like 5 years old, my mom's pot dealer has a daughter who was a couple of years older than me, and I remember her showing me how to smoke hash under glass. Good times.

Ya, the foothills. I'm stoked. Got GA tickets. I've never seen them live so it'll be fun. I'd love to see Judas too. @rkymtnman will be there too, but he's got seats in the bowl.

I don't grow any of today's strains. I grow landraces and IBL's. I make my own strains. Most are good, some are exceptional, and some definitely are mids. I don't chase breeders, wait on drops, follow anyone on instagram, etc... I do my own thing and have my own stuff. There isn't anything out there I care about or am willing to pay for other than landraces I don't already have.

So how do you cross breed
