If could only pick one pack what would it be?

So like the title says if you had to pick only one pack of seeds to buy what would it be. I of course can buy more than one pack but it's hard to make a decision. I am actually looking for two very different kinds of strains so will get more then one pack but want to know what you guys recommend.

I need a producer with short flower time and good terps, kinda tired of my current one and it's a bit longer flower and goes mid 60 days. So hopefully can find one that will finish in the 50s. Gassy type aroma is preferable but I like all diff kinds too.

I also have a friend that is old and depressed and barely leaves home. He says he wants a long flowering sativa to help with mood and since I've never grown (or smoked) one I think I'm up for trying one.

I'm looking for stable gear that won't be a bunch of herms.
 
Sounds like you're in search of your grail. How much are you wanting and willing to drop on said pack? i.e. Brisco has some FIRE right now for like 35$, on the other end of the spectrum you can pick up some Riot Seeds which are like 400$. And have you looked into autoflowers by chance? They have some of the quickest finishing times and breeders like mephisto and night owl have some really great stuff out there right now. As for a fast flowering Sativa, thats a tougher one... Maybe Mosca's C99, but if youre really looking for that heady cerebral than you might have to venture into flowering times of the 12 - 16 weekers. I personally dont care for sativa's or sativa dominant hybrids due to their flowering time as well as the racey head highs I get so others with more knowledge will have to chime in with their experiences on sativa grows. Well I already have a few really nice ones, my favorites at the moment are modified mints from sin City and critical kush from barenys farm. I also have a bubble gum cut that I use for production as it's just an easy to grow and yields well.

But I'm just getting bored with the current line up and culling some other mother's I had that I don't really like or don't perform all that well.

Budget is prob any packs under 150, would pay more but would have to be some proven fire.

I don't mind for the sativa to have a bit longer flowering time as I'm gonna run them in my tent instead of the room anyways. I might not like the high from sativa either but I'd like to try one and find out and my buddy seems to think it will help his depression.

I prefer to grow photos, I've played with autos before but like to find mothers and keep em around.

For sativa with anti depressant qualities try jack herer or jack crosses. I found a kick ass anti depres pheno of delicious seeds critical jack. I didnt clone it and regret it to this day. I tried like 6 more of those seeds since but nothing on par with that 1st one though.

As for production strains under 60 day flower is asking a bit much, you'll have to get lucky to find one. That being said c99 is quick and 1 of my black d.o.g.s finishes inn about 58 days. Both have great flavors but could be stronger.

Most og and chem related crosses are where everyone's focus seems to be for production flowers but both varieties like to go 70 days or more.

I'd pay a lot for a clone of something I really wanted but to me seeds are so unpredictable. BTW this modified mints is my grail lol. I'm actually just looking for something fun and different. I don't mind spending some money, it's space and time id rather not waste. Lol. Im only devoting 1 3x3 tent to hunt for seeds and have had terrible luck in the past, I just bought way too much stock off one breeder and then didn't like any of his gear, was full of herms and the ones that I have gotten to finish without herming are not that good. I never had that problem back in the day when ordering from over seas

I really want blue dream santa Cruz cut but I'm afraid of bugs and using the mail for clones. Useful has great prices problem is I don't know his gear well enough to pick out a pack.

Where do you order your useful gear from? Also where u get those wedding cake ones from? (Hope I remembered right what strains you said u were running next but think you said wedding cake)

I don't think anyone nowadays can guarantee a holy grail will be found in just one pack. Such is the curse and fun in chucking and popping the beans.
As far as stable without a buncha hermis I would look for a breeder that actually comprehensively tests their gear and not someone who gets you to pay to do that.

Useful , Scwaggy P , Bodhi , Strayfox , are the first to come to mind you should give a try. Lots of gems to be found and proper testing has been done. As for the sativa for the ailment you are looking for I would recommend trying to find a cut of sour diesel . I know @shorelineOG has some for sale via strainly .
I will also caution you to stay clear of over hyped and over marketed gear on the cheap. A lot of members on here are breeding as good or better then certain "walmart of seeds" cough cough 3 letter companies paying for advertisement here.

One strain I found really helpful is Island Sweet Skunk and have 4 crosses of it with DJ Short's Blueberry starting week 7 of 12/12 now. One is a heavy BB leaning pheno judging by the purpling going on with it while the other 3 seem to be leaning more to the ISS side.

Peak Seeds BC has the Sweet Skunk tho I'm not sure it's the same as the Island Sweet Skunk and some other crosses for really decent prices.

Thanks for the recommendations guys got about a week before I'll be ready to order so i got a lil bit to look and see. I left the tent empty when repotting everything so that I'll have room as soon as I get them. Im gonna look around a lil today and get a narrowed down list and see what you guys think about it. Thanks for all the advice and recommendations.
 
Have any of you guys used or heard anything about Humboldt seed company not to be confused with humboldt seed organization. I've tried hso in the past but I see some hsc gear on dcseedexchange and seedaeherenow that looks pretty good. If go with one from dcseedexchange can pick up a pack of useful at the same time. With his strains I'm thinking either bag or oranges or chocolate diesel instead of one of the crosses, mainly cause the blue dream Santa Cruz cross of his is sold out.

Peaks sweet skunk is different then the island sweet skunk that federation offered.

Last I heard the Vancouver Seed Bank was selling the real deal but I haven't even checked there. Little broke atm too. :)

Just looked and they do have them. Hmmm . . . Still got lots of room on the VISA card. ;)

Did you ever run peak's sweet skunk or any of his skunk crosses? For $40 you won't be disappointed with any of them.
 
VSB has the original for $60 so I think I'd go with those. Won't be long and I'll be seeing what these crosses are like. Could be good enough that I don't really need just the pure one. I'm not hugely fussy but I am always low on funds. My exhaust fan is getting a lot noisier these days. Started a few years ago but sounds close to the end. Another no-name one in my near future.
