when i was a kid, maybe 7, my mom worked for Cherokee textile mills here in Sevier county. She got involved in an attempt to unionize, and i ended up spending a few nights with my grandma when she was arrested for bringing groceries to striking families...she was officially arrested for driving on a suspended license, which wasn't suspended, but they had to hold her in jail from Saturday afternoon till Monday morning to "check it out"...even at 7, i knew bullshit when i saw it, and i've hated cops ever since then...about the same amount i hate rich people who exploit their workers

Former President Donald Trump is urging Americans to read the new bestselling book by Dick Morris.
It's called "The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback" and predicts Trump is not only running for president again, but that he will overcome big odds to win again.
Writing on his Truth Social platform this weekend, Trump posted: "'The Return' is a fantastic political analysis of what very well may be taking place in the not too distant future. Dick Morris is a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author, who is also a true political pro. Great book, get it now!!"
"The Return" has been an Amazon #1 bestseller as well as a top 10 Publisher's Weekly bestseller.
In "The Return" Morris argues that Democrats have destroyed America's social, cultural, economic and political values, thus opening the door for Republicans, led by Trump, to create a new majority.
But Morris says Republicans "must understand how the Democrats managed to turn out such a massive vote for one of the least electable people ever to run for president."
He says "Democrats managed to win by expanding the size of the electorate" and that Republicans need to have a similar strategy.
"The Return" claims that Hispanic voters are key to GOP success and critically important for Trump in 2024.
Trump's affirmation of the Dick Morris' book is seeming confirmation of his intention to run.
In his book, Morris claimed that Trump would face legal troubles, and perhaps even an indictment from the Biden administration, so fearful are they of the 45th president returning to the White House.
"But Trump knows all this was coming, including a potential raid, so he's prepared, and he will still win," Morris claims.
Morris, a presidential campaign strategist, is famous for helping Bill Clinton win re-election in 1996, after pundits claimed he could not do so.
He also played a role in Trump's 2016 race and his book that year, "Armageddon," predicted a Trump surprise win.
"It's going to happen again in 2024 and that's why Big Media, Big Tech, and the Deep State have formed an alliance to stop Trump," Morris asserts.
"But Trump will prevail. My book in 2016 turned out right, and so will 'The Return,'" Morris says.

The trouble with rightwingnuts writing books is the base burns books, it does not have a reputation for reading books. This "propagandistic philosophy" will be dumbed down and spoon fed to the base by foxnews and hate radio. It could be on the school curriculum of Florida and Texas though!

Maria Bartiromo to be deposed in Dominion lawsuit against Fox News
Fox News host Maria Bartiromo is the latest in a slew of top Fox News personalities who are set to be deposed as part of Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against the cable news giant.
Bartiromo is slated to take questions from Dominion lawyers on Sept. 8, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing a filing in Delaware Superior Court.
Dominion is seeking $1.6 billion in damages from Fox for what the voting systems company has alleged was the network’s broadcasting of false claims of voter fraud pushed by former President Trump and his allies following the 2020 presidential election.
Bartiromo booked Trump and his allies to appear on her “Sunday Morning Futures” show on several occasions after the election while they contested President Biden’s win in court and in the media.
In a court filing earlier this summer, Dominion argued Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch and other leaders at the company made a conscious decision to air the false claims of voter fraud for business reasons, saying Fox “decided to promote former President Trump’s narrative after Trump’s condemnation of Fox damaged its stock and viewership.”
Fox’s lawyers have so far unsuccessfully moved to have the case dismissed on First Amendment grounds and said in a statement last week the company remains “confident we will prevail as freedom of the press is foundational to our democracy and must be protected, in addition to the damages claims being outrageous, unsupported and not rooted in sound financial analysis, serving as nothing more than a flagrant attempt to deter our journalists from doing their jobs.”
In a statement given to The Washington Post this week, Dan Webb, a prominent attorney who recently joined Fox’s legal defense team, said “there are very few events in the last 50 years in this country that I think are more newsworthy than our president alleging that our entire Democratic system was put on its head by a voting machine company stealing votes.”
Other top Fox News personalities have reportedly either already faced questions from Dominion’s lawyers or are slated to in the coming days, including hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Steve Doocy.
