That is complete BS. Pell Grants were targeted at a higher forgiveness amount specifically because they go to students from lower income families. The majority of wealthy students don't take out student loans. Most of the people affected by this plan are the working poor and middle class. You shouldn't spend so much time reading crackpot blogs. Who's votes do you think they are trying to "buy?" Democrats will vote is huge numbers this year due to Roe, do you actually think someone is going to change their vote months from now away from Trump just because Biden took 10K off their student loans? You're forgetting that education and expertise are despised by Republicans and very few go to college for this reason, except for the Republican ruling class who believe education is for the 1% only.There was an intersting article by Tom Woods published today at Lewrockwell.com. A graph indicated a majority of the "debt forgiveness" would benefit students from rich and upper middle class income brackets.
The "poor" students represented less than 6%. I'm not in favor of a government executive trying to buy votes, but it appears the votes he may have "bought" were from higher incomes.
