I'm exactly right there with youHow far away is your light? And are you seeing this across all of your tops or just the ones directly/near your light? I've seen similar with mine with LEDs - something I'm still trying to learn more as to the right distance. Samsung LEDs , especially, are epically bright and seem to induce some deficiencies/washout. Maybe up the Herc some more? What dosages are you running per gal, etc?
I'm still learning myself and I've had the opposite problem battling high pH. My tap water comes out with a little bit too many ppms so I cut it with distilled down into range. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but maybe add extra Olympus up and then pH it back down with Hades. I've played with this a little and have been getting some rock hard buds. It's been a huge learning curve for me with this line and these new Samsung LEDs. I had this problem too where all of my leaves started turning yellow. I'm still feeding with Pegasus in late flower. Thanks for the reply.
It appears the dolomite lime I added hasnt done much. Or maybe it has and the situation would be even worse otherwise.
There are 2 kinds of lime that Im familiar with in gardening: calcium carbonate and dolomitic lime. The owner of the NFTG nute line recommended the addition of calcium carbonate (1/4 cup per 3 gallon) when recharging a soil before planting. That I did. And as I dump all these acids (NTFG nute's) in the PH is continuously driven down.
Ive seen recommendations of using dolomitic lime while in flower specifically. That I also did.... 2 tablespoons and the PH stayed the same after a couple feedings at 6.3
I also tried the Chimera... didnt move the PH number at all
Has anybody had more luck, while in flower and dumping 60cc of Herc in, with one form of lime over another. I dont want to just start dumping a bunch of lime in but dont know what to do to counter the drift.
I'm using two spider farmer se3000s. I wish I could help solve this problem for you but I'm still trying to figure out these lights also. Are you using Bloom khaos?Im running a Spider Farmer sf4000 and this particular plant is like 13" away. But there are others in the tent even closer, same strain without issue.
I follow the advice of a fellow over on Y-Toob Migro is the name of his company/site and his opinion is to keep lthe lights as close as possible without negative consequences. I have 3 G13 Autos that are within 8" of the LED.
Having said that I wondered if it wasnt a consequence of the lights being too close. But then Im not seeing it on other plants.
I've just arrived at 60cc Herc every watering. Transitioned from 30-40-50-60cc over the course of a month while turning up the intensity of the light gradually as well.
Im concerned its PH related because it has been my experience, in various soil and/or peat and/or compost and/or perlite combinations once I've arrived at 60cc the PH just stays at 6.3. A month into flower it should be higher. This is true of the G13 Autos Im running and the Obama Kush photos.
Just how much lime (and specifically which kind) does one need to add into the medium to get the PH up?
I cut Pegasus after w3 for this run. Not sure if it needed to continue or not; I did run a bit hotter on Medusas (which has feather meal in it of course) and per Roman guidelines , I'm been jamming a good bit of Athenas as well as getting the extra N from Triton's...I figured that was more than adequate to compensate with the removal of Peg. What's held my hand from trying to dump more N in here, especially at d46, is that on the fringes of the canopy the leaves look great; on the side of the cola facing the light - the leaves are lighter (close to the light). Whereas, on the other side (facing the tent/mylar), they're significantly greener. Makes me assume there's this precarious balance of being too close / too far and of course the level of nutes you toss in the mix only stands to compound it, I am assuming. I ran out of vert space for this run; I'd gladly jack the lights up higher if possible.I'm still learning myself and I've had the opposite problem battling high pH. I use very little BK. I foliar spray BK until pistils then occasionally I mix it in the feed water. My girls are in a limited space currently and BK tends to make plants into monsters. Last year I ran a few girls where I maxed out BK as directed by the Greek regimen and they became 6' tall monsters, whereas previous grows with that strain produced 4' tall plants at best. They became such freaks (I might have picked the wrong strain for the experiment) that I had to cut them down and process them into what I affectionally call bug juice. They became leggy AF. It was intended as a learning opportunity and man I learned; BK is potent stuffI'm using two spider farmer se3000s. Thanks for the replies. I very much appreciate any help I can get.
Its just amazing to me that water can be such a different experience from different sources. Having constant low PH over many grows I find it amazing that anybody consistently fights high PH. That is so interesting. I know that on the Yoo-Toob site 'the OCGFAM show' (the unofficial official NFTG channel) they go on at length about water. Since I discovered a database of municipal water by zip code at ewg.org I water the girls and myself with Spring Water from Wally world. Its typically 220 PPM at 8.0 PH
I think the diagnosis of the lights too close is correct. Well, too close/too strong. For the sake of my electric bill I like to get the light as close as possible. That plant has been finicky so I think it just reached its saturation point.
Im a month in flower and at 60ml Herc per feeding (and unless otherwise indicated I feed every watering) running the Greek regimen. Thats a sh*t ton of acids as the PH after mixing but before adjustment with Olympus Up is 4. Maybe the girls need a breather.
I also use microbes... SLF 100 and a couple times during flowering I use Recharge. I think I need to understand these better. I thought they were supposed to be helpful in stabilizing PH, and maybe they are, they stabilize mine at 6.3 consistently. Which is workable but I'd like it to climb as flowering goes on.
Ive raised the light and added 1/8 cup calcium carbonate as a top dressing and worked it in. Next watering Im gonna do a Herc flush
Thanks again
They all seem to be drinking a little bit less I have dropped the temperatures though. What's the old adage? If in doubt, wait another week? lol Still looks like there are quite a few clears; this could just be the photo or my horrible eyes. How is the plant's water uptake? Still drinking or flagging?
I'd say another week as well. It depends on the buzz you prefer I suppose. They sure are covered in trichomes! What's the old adage? Thanks ya I just started the ripening flush. Been playing around with it but this time for the first one today I did 45 ml Herculean harvest, 45 ml Triton's trawl, 30 ml Aphrodites extraction, 5 ml bloom khaos, 30 ml Slf 100, 1 ml Mammoth P, PH 6.4. Next ripening flushes I'll taper everything down till I'm left with herc, aphrodites and slf. Well see. Depending on how long they take to finish up. I'll keep checking the trichomes.I'd say another week as well. It depends on the buzz you prefer I suppose. They sure are covered in trichomes!
i Would push another 2 weeks , mite be surprised the swelling…..Thanks ya I just started the ripening flush. hopefully it’s a good fight and you win !For anybody following along... apparently I hadn't eradicated the spider mites.
I watched as the leaf discoloration moved to other plants and I said to myself... self I think I got a bug.
Peppermint essential oil, dish soap, PH'd water and fingers crossed. I couldnt see the little bast*rds with my old eyes!

I'm trying . See the thing is I only have about 2 weeks till I'm leaving for a week. I'm thinking I may have to let them finish up chop them down and hang them and while I'm gone have somebody else take care of the rest hopefully. I don't know if I want to trust somebody else drying and curing my stuff. I've pretty much been stuck at home all summer and haven't been able to do anything but I may even just stay home just to do it. FMLi Would push another 2 weeks , mite be surprised the swelling…..
chop like a day before you go and hang while away and when you come back maybe trim?I'm trying . See the thing is I only have about 2 weeks till I'm leaving for a week. I like cheap and its what I had on hand. Its worked well for me in the past. Just gotta give the girls some time to recover away from the lights and they do fine.I like mercenary by cultured biologix
