Is the larger dosage of Demeters to help overcome the missing Ca from the RO water source? Or are you remineralizing your RO?

I experienced the dreaded 5-6 week Ph fallout in my first Nectar run (I use RO as well due to a sheit well) even after adding 1/2 cup of calcite per 5-gal pot (with #4 soil).

Bumping Demeters (15ml) and doubling the calcite load into the soil has helped for this latest run but I just added a remineralization filter on the RO (calcite) which I'm hoping just pours more Ca into the source and removes the ionic pull of those negatively charged Ca- ions. Fingers crossed for this next run...

i never had that fall out …. The demeters is to add more Ca … now I added full on for mineralize .. I’m guessing with the fall out in flower could be low ppm while in veg 5.9 -6.1 and if not doing a slurry for a week or 2 before flowering could catch the low ppm and get it up before the flip .. ( just my guess) …could be high ppm cause the ph to drop , not having the ppm in range … watering habits could cause issues too … another issue could be the size of your pot , to small will cause issues too , to much roots not enough of soil for a buffer …

There are these kits out nowadays where you can cut a small sample of tissue and mail to be tested. Apparently you can tell very early the sex (of course not if there's a hermie, hah) and may potentially be able to cull your excess males earlier. I've never tried it but it seems like an interesting "new tech" sort of thing that's out these days. Maybe a gimmick though too?
I was thinking of doing this actually. Still on the fences about it. No doubt that the results will be correct, just don't know if I should spend the money when only doing a few. I would definitely go this route if I grew on a larger scale.

I used up to 15 ml of demeters in flower last grow for good measure.

Just saw a guy growing the same strain I'm about to grow with s tent full of big ass bushes and saying that he can't tell the sex yet. I'm thinking about maybe the Spartan regimen in veg and ease my way into the Roman in flower. I think a good idea may be to plant 4 or 5 and find the best female and take clones maybe even do a sog. So many different strategies its hard to decide what's best. Just goes to show that this can be a never ending learning experience. Thought I had it all down until I was given a regular pack of seeds Lol. I have tons of fems, Buut these plants don't come in fems sooo. Ill be learning how to weed out males this winter.

Grabbing a 4x8 AC infinity tent for my 2 SE3000's and also have a 3x3. I've been wanting to get something perpetual going in the same room I'm hoping the AC infinity tents are light proof so I can do so because the other tents not.

the best strategy is the one that works best for you and your environment. play with soil , amending soil and of course the nutrients , with nectar there are many ways to play with it and many different ways to use each nutrients …. Now with regular pack seeds , remember they will so the sex (maturity) after the sixth node , you will also start to see the branches ( side branches ) start to stager growth… no need for them to be flip 12/12 to show there sex and then flip back to 18/6 , wasted time MHO… as of now I had to put 2 girls in 10 gallon pots , so they will be bigger then the Sunday pie , sundaypie is nice already …… I use to have issues years ago when growing , they grew past the light …lol.

Ok so if they show sex at about the 6th node I may just grow a couple monsters depending on how many females I get. May have to use bigger than 5 gal. Pots. I have a feeling I'm gonna be hugging by with questions again this winter Lol. You may not know it but you've taught me so much these last couple years. Whenever I have questions my 1st thought is ask bubba!!! Thank you sir. I salute you!!!

For anyone tagging along I recommend reading through this thread. I've asked a million questions and received some great advice.

I veg my plants for 8 weeks and it seems like the exact amount of time for 5 gallon fabric pots. Wanted to recycle my soil this time but the pots were completely filled with roots. Gotta have nice roots. Been using Bigfoot and Dr root for that. May try out some dynomyco this run.

Look at those beautiful plants!!! This is why you're my go to.
Thank you ! I would seriously start playing with the soil , amending it , its simple , 1 cup to five gallons of soil ( one shot , green gro earth shine , bokashia , EWC ) let that cook for at least a month before using , some times I use it sooner … some soil I’ve been using for 5 years now…

I still use big foot , gold for watering in once a month , I wanna test using dynomycro and Bigfoot in each transplant and see what happens …. Dynomycro has a utube channel for on how to use it… just did clones and made a paste for them .

Been dying to try out EON but since I have alot more learning to do this grow gonna stick to nectar.
amend using nectar … plant won’t eat up all th herc in the soil and other nutrients …. Microbes would have a field day breaking it down and plenty food for the plant … with that built up herc and fuel in soil be a good time to be playing with BK ….

I had no idea what biochar was. Grow shop guy also uses nectar gave me a big bag for free and said trust me use it you'll like it so I did and I believe that definitely kicked the amended #4 up a notch.
