Used Miracle-gro Tomato & bloom along with cal-mag.. made our own soil mix. We have cut and dried 5 plants, waiting for the rest to finish out. Many strains started, vastly different finish time. The little plants are clones from some of the large plants. Using them to make our own feminized seeds..
Just cut and trimmed a Banana Kush today :weed:

I grew an auto flower in MG soil earlier this summer with no additional nutes & while she vegged beautifully & seemed to bud well… I actually ended up with super leafy buds… they were such a nightmare to trim because it was like… where do I stop… just so many leaves in the buds. It was also exceptionally hot the entire grow so maybe it had more to do with that…. But yah… my experiment with MG soil made a beautiful plant but terrible buds… hope it was just me messing things up. Would love to see pics at harvest time. :)

Sorry it didn't turn out well for u. Always a bummer :(..We had one that was garbage lately too... We have harvested 5 already, only one was bad (thin, fluffy, lower thc..it even looked like fluffy junk) but I feel it was more to do w genetics than anything else. I also get a lot of leaves, but that's why right before flower so I defoliate a lot..then I switch to MG Bloom (1/2 recommend dose) for the high Phosphorus and Potassium...which produced big thick buds.. I am also using cal-mag every other watering at this point.. Anyway, I'm not saying it's the best, I'm just saying it worked for us during our first grow. I'll admit a real downside is that it seems to be difficult to dissolve all of the nutes, so we end up w some salt buildup. We then have to do a good water 2x to combat that. That is why from now on I am going w General Hydroponics dry nutes line. Their Maxi Bloom. It dissolves well, is an all in one, including Cal-Mag and is also very affordable. A lot of ppl are on a budget... So overall it's done well for us, but I'll admit it may not be the best, but it's certainly not the worst

Thanks, i guess ill just proceed as i have been. i don't want to nutrient burn my plants accidently or something =) its just i think these plants are taking me the longest ever, but ive never grown photoperiods outdoors befoore. only autos with the same soil
You could give a half strength watering of what ever bloom fertilizer and the plant would probably benefit.

these brown marks started appearing shortly after i had to bring my plants inside because it was raining outside for a few days

then, because it was getting colder out, i started to put my plants in a greenhouse

is it because i am not getting enough airflow?
im worried because i see it near some of the buds on my bigger plant
thanks

Sounds like the heat was the issue to me. Airy buds are an adaptation to high heat think it’s supposed to protect seed production or something.

so i found it it was not nutrient deficiency simply lack of sunlight from my plants being indoors while it was rianing for 3 days straight .

i now bring my plants outdoors and put them in a greenhouse when it gets warmer (not first thing in the morning)

miracle grow {potting soil} still kicking ass but i purchased the tiger bloom trio package

I started watering my plants a little more than usual and they started looking better. I think im on the right path again so im a little scared to use nutrients especially this late in the game. This is the longest pot plants ive ever grown (i had to force-flower them with plastic garbage bags) .

photos incoming when i finish a few things.

All of the yellowing disappeared, everything looks incredibly good. I cut off a few limbs that seemed like they weren't going to grow much compared to the others.

I know I posted in the thread at some point and I keep seeing it pop up over the last couple years. I just want to say that I finally quite using MG potting soils and switched to ProMix HP and I will never look back. Better in every single way. More control over what the plants are getting, no more gnats as well.

So ive been growing a few in miracle grow potting soil again!!!
They're looking PHENMONEAL compared to the crap that i tried last year.

at first i had them under a junky light because it was raining way too hard for way too long outside

they didnt get as big as i wanted them to, because i accidently knocked them over and also transplanted them once or twice which stunted them

these are Wedding Cake & Zkittlez from a week or two ago

this photo is when it started to produce trichomes

I will be updating with new photos soon

Im glad i stuck with the miracle grow ive always used . though i do plan to try Foxfarms and others again (last time was like 10 years ago lol)

Final tip: do not transplant autos. everytime you transplant you're adding like an extra 10 days of additional grow time, they just don't like it .
Maybe with Autos that aren't ruderalis based like Short Ryder (which is Top 44 x Early Special ) instead of being crossed with a ruderalis , are better for transplanting . start your autos with a big pot so you don't have to .

First wedding cake complete
lower res budshot photo, will take another when it is dry.
using only Miracle Grow Potting Soil and tap water
no problems whatsoever

2 gallon pot grew extremely fast but was a little shorter than the 3 or 4 gallon ones . however the bud structure completed itself faster i believe due to using the 2 gallon.

i harvested a little early and didn't wait for extremely amber trichromes due to personal preference weather related

little to no pests
no mold whatsoever

I am going to try other soils soon, but why change what is not broken?

Drying it now - 291753181_533315548572729_5035121848738641790_n.jpg289665531_1182174429271123_6042858388148058880_n.jpg

Ok, yes. I use Miracle Gro to grow my cannabis. It's what I used when I first started and what I still use to this day. I'm creating this post for all of the MG users like me who are getting tired of being bashed by others for using it. Im going to post positive proof that MG isn't a trash soil for growing cannabis. Currently, I'm in the middle of a grow where I'm using MG as my base soil. You can click the link below to see a video of how everything is coming along. I encourage everyone who use MG to post proof of your success so we can collectively quell the noise of all these naysayers.
I'm watching. Interesting content.

The people i know who bash it, isnt because weather or not its good for growing cannabis .. its becuase its a subsidiaty group owned by Monsanto.. Monsanto is the devil...lol..
i noticed that , ive been here a while lol

this isnt my first grow either
i have some nice lights and ive used other soils and prefer the Miracle Grow

Like i said on my post before NO ADDITIONAL NUTES required
Thats LESS shit that is potentially toxic being added into my cannabis by not adding extra chemicals AT ALL
