It’s funny seeing that old comment now, a lot has changed and I would never recommend MG anything anymore. I still don’t like when people bash MG for no good reason but it definitely is no good for marijuana.

Bought a bag of in ground organic miracle grow from costco on sale for 5$ in March, and the organic miracle grow potting mix (also 5$) for germinating the seeds and keeping them in pots for their first month until weather permitted them to go in ground. Fed Fox farm trio nutes and cal mag. Strain Humboldt Dream Queen. Germinated April 1st, in ground first week of May, gets 2 hours shy of the entire days sun

Monsanto doesn't own Miracle Gro. Now that you have been informed of that fact what's your reason for hating it now?

My bad,they have a marketing agreement between the two companies,and scott's distributes round up for monsanto....bad enough...they are in bed together......

i had good success this last summer however
our weather had gotten so hot that i shouldn't have had them directly in the light on those especially hot, humid days
the inside of the buds get too moist
so just putting them in the shade on those days will be best.
but this is my first time in a long time growing again, so its a learning experience

I'm not going to call myself a pro but I can grow plants. I used Miracle Gro this summer for some outdoor plants and they did just fine. I wouldn't use their blue stuff or their soil with timed release fertilizer but their Performance Organics is a decent product. Both the fertilizer and soil. It's not any cheaper than anything else but it's available at big box stores for those that don't have any other options for purchasing products in their area.Where are all the Pro's who use Miracle Grow?
The only problem with this is that I could never get it to dissolve completely. But that's not surprising considering it's a powder that has phosphate rock and bone meal.

I think it's a fair question too. If MG is on par with other nutes, and is cheaper than something like Jacks, why aren't the pros using it? By "pros", I mean people who are growing cannabis as a profession.

Because most growing in volume use dry nutrients. Especially Jack’s. For $$$ reasons.

MG is the same price as Jacks though, if not cheaper, and it's also a dry nute.

And they're well aware of that. It's hard to compete with J.R. Peters.

No idea. But I can hear the crowd if it got out “They use Miracle Gro!” I bought a huge bag of Miracle Gro Organic soil from Costco last Spring. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. While I was loading I see a professional guy loading an entire truckload of it. Jack’s is used a lot because JR Peters reps make rounds. Salesman. Never seen one for Miracle Gro.

They own a ton of companies through that subsidiary. They went on a buying spree of companies many focused on cannabis growing. But the market has changed and the large scale commercials might use GH but they're not going to be using bottled nutrients like Botanicare or CYCO which are also Hawthorn companies. It's just a matter of time before they have a bulk product like Jacks which is aimed towards the large scale grow operations. I doubt they'll use the name Miracle Gro but they'll have a product.
