yES IM WELL AWARE THAT THERE IN TOO SMALER POTS.
LOL caps lock bstard of a key lol.
OK, I have on the left, a milawi from ace seeds, pure sativa.
on the right, a mexican sativa from sensi seeds, only half sativa i might add, should have read the site info better.
then top middle a roya runtz and front middle a critical, royal queen seeds.
now im only interested in the Milawi as iys going to be my mother plant for generations to come, now should i buy some more seeds to choose a better mother plant as shes very slow to gro, shes about 3 days behind the rest of them, see what i mean about slow????
so should i buy another few seeds of Milawe to choose a better mother, or will i be ok with this one?????
and bollox to the drug squad, cunts, im through hiding from them, its time to stand up and be counted, it takes growers like me to stand up and get the stupid fucking laws changed around the growing of the killer weed marijuana, lol
thanx in advnce, GOGO

hey gogo,
if they didn't mess with it, Malawi is an IBL so you're not gonna see a lot of physical variety in more seeds. I don't know how much grow experience you have so please dont be offended by me prodding to get you where you want to go. You've heard the term "keeper" right? you just know when you've found a keeper....hard to explain. One way is to dry branches in the worst possible conditions, short cure (google sweating out) and if it's still sweet pungent fire then you likely got a keeper....you just know. So if you're looking for a mother but haven't had that "holy shit" moment....keep looking. Remember the Malawi, if unmolested, is an IBL landrace so all the plants should relatively look the same, you're just looking for that sweet ass pheno.

yeah thanx, i should hav3e explained thatr i kbnow what a keeper is, i only baught the single seed, so im just hopeing that she shines, ive not given them the best of starts, ive keptthem in a conservatory undr 24 hrs of 100 w led along with daylight, the only poblem is the led doesnt give off enogh light to mymind, i think im better off useing the 150 w metalhalide un shaded / bare ass bulb, ill loose half the light, but it wont shade the sun, im peting it up today, well all of them, but im going to pay spexial attention to the milawi and the sensi mexican sativa. so ill have two plants (mothers) to fill 2 tents with 9 clones of each under 400w metal halide light, then move on to 600 during flowering and i might even break out the 1000 wt metal halide monster bulbs, it scared the shit out of me the first time i took them out the box, man the size of those light bulbs lol. biger then the largest dildo ive ever seen lol.
well for this round, ill stick with this one, but ill buy a pack of 10 seeds and choose a mother b4 they go into flowering, that way ill have time to get the plants ready to take a few clones off of each plant, flower the plants and pheno hunt them, i wasnt aware that there would be that to take into concideration with IBL'S. than for the info my friend. big love and plentifull harvests to you

Only way to get where you wanna be is to start walking, here if you need help.
Edit, you can also look into selfing the plant, that will give you many new things from a single plant...no new seeds to buy.

Are there pictures of the Malawi ? Can't see any pictures.
Is it from regular or feminized seed?

I have the Malawi from regular seeds.
Planted two, got one male that showed sex very fast. I collected pollen and used it on a Paradise Seeds Sensi Star original, a Dark Horse Genetics Kings Banner and Phantom cookies domina.
Also froze some pollen.
The other Malawi seed plant is under 12/12 light at moment to see if it's a female.
It's in 7l pot in DIY soil. Under a 50 watt led - 4 x 4000K F strips.
It's a very vigorous plant. I planted it at the same time as a NL#5 seed and it's a far more robust than the NL#5.

The spots on the leaves are from the rain. It's always raining here at 55°N lol

I don't think you'll know if you've got a keeper until you grow it out, see if you like its structure and smoke test it.
Always clone as you might have a keeper.
Don't let it get too big in veg as they'll stretch like feck in flower and keep it in a smaller pot than you'd normally use.

Tried to reveg the Malawi male outside but it's been unsuccessful ......
I cut off all the remaining male flowers but the plant dying off now and producing male pods here and there on it.

Malawi male on left, Sensi Star original on right.
I can veg outdoors in the summer but outdoors flowering is a usless endeavour here.

Im gonna try revegging another male soon, to be sure, to be sure lol
Sure it's a good experiment and doesn't cost anything as the sunlight is free.
Or in my case the cloudy overcast rain is free!

6 males (4 strains), 1 is a clone going off (no reveg)
20220707_064934_copy_1612x1209.jpg
2 are karyotypes of trisomic aneuploidy.(trifoliate)

I went neck deep into males and genetics learning this year. If xtsho has a successful reveg male that would add to my knowledge and our collective knowledge...but ive never seen it

I had heard conflicting information on revegging males so I thought I would try and find out for myself. I didn't cut anything off the plant. I just left it in the same pot and put it under 18/6.

Here is the Malawi male starting to reveg. Photo was taken on 05/29/2022.

Here is a photo of the same male I just took this morning 07/07/2022. Some of the leaves are sunburned from when I first put it outside. All the new growth is fine though

Here is some Malawi I just trimmed up. The plate is 10 inches in diameter for reference. It was just a small seed reproduction run plant topped once so two main colas.

I actually have a thread about the reveg.

no shit..same as you i decided to find out for myself and tried 5 different males so far....i even had that one moment where you're convinced "nope, these things don't reveg".
so now what to do...is it genotype specific....environment...fk! all my plants are friggin under summer veg hours outdoors.
thnx xtsho

hi, sorry for the delay, here she is, im not happy with the new organic mirical grow, i just gave her (baught a feminised one this time) the yellowing on the two first true leavs have started turning yellow since then and now.
the top growth is good, but dont undrstand why the two lower ones are suffering, i only get the first two leaves you get after germination turn yellow, which tells me its time to repot,
i dont put pearlite in the starting soil as it doesnt need it , its jacks magic potting compost and its got BIO3 as a peat replacement. this is made of composted garden waste, composted bark, composted coconut choir and composted bracken. its a perfect peat replacement if you can get it. great for germinating in and holds the perfect amount of water.

same here, trying to flower outdoors is neigh on imposable here. can you make a make shift single plant or two, out of pollythene and wood or do you intend to take them indoors?

What is your reveg light / light cycle? I’ve had plants take 2 months to show reveg results but I’ve never had one not veg, except for the one I killed.

Dude they're outdoors under summer veg...literally like a spring start for all of them (increasing daylight above 12/12)...im not an indoor guy so that's in play, yes, agreed...im just confused on the mechanisms controlling this.
Edit, these males (clone included) should not be flowering according to current reveg theory

I made a mini DIY greenhouse, just to keep the rain off a Sensi Star original plant. I was finding it difficult to give the plant any feed as the soil was always sodden with the rain.
I'll bring it indoors to flower in a month or so.
The Malawi under the light still hasn't shown sex but hopefully it's a female as it's taking it's time.
The male plant was very fast to show balls.
I've a lot of plants on the go just now. Blueberry and clones, Chongs Choice and clones, Sensi Star original and clones,
Gelat OG's and clones, Kings Banner, Phantom cookies domina, Malawi's.
It's legal to grow in my house cause I make the rules.

They’re landrace though. DJS Blueberry, has a heavy Thai influence, inside under weak light they will throw hairs/balls. I’ve seen it on the Serious Seeds Bubblegum as well. I don’t know about Malawi but I know there are tropical strains that will flower under 14/10, revenging might only be doable inside.

Just to double check...we're talking strictly about males right? I feel maybe that isnt entirely the case by accident
