It use to be cheaper to buy a CA car than bring one from another state due to the crazy emissions laws. I lived in Truckee for like 6 years just to ride.
Ain't nothing cheap anymore.... I stopped in to my local Ford Dealership that I used to work at for years to get my oil changed, and they had a New F150 Lightning roped off. You can't touch it, or test drive it. I saw the sticker was at $81K. I asked one of my former sales guys "What are you guys asking over for this?".. he said "Fifty".... So like $131K for an $81K sticker vehicle. Ford told them that if they didn't get a certain amount of orders for them, they would come pick it back up after the quarter... 300 mile range, but what are you going to do when you can't find a charging station?.. there's NO engine. At least when Paige's hybrid runs the battery dry, we can use the squirrel cage of an engine...... I say that, but I've had it up to 120mph.
VW Tdi with a tune gets me around 60mpg.
That's pretty damn good!.... The Fusion Hybrid gets an avg of 47.5 if we go out of battery range and have to use the engine. I kinda like that car, great ride, electric power off the line is pretty awesome. Used to cost us $20 to fill it up. Now, it's like $55
yeah, i put a tune on it. 50 more hp, 100 more torque and about 60 ish on the highway. i can chirp the tires in 1st and 2nd with a diesel. lol

It's like a 2014? Ford Fusion Hybrid. 105K miles, and we've not done anything to it other than oil changes... which we only do every 10,000 because we run 80% of the time on electric.
