umm yeah… I keep about 7 acres manicured. The other 5 are trees. I have to do it in sections, and mow every evening if we get good rains, but mid summer, I’ll let the front 5 die out.
I don't think my cheap Craftsman push mower is 7 acre ready.

There's a guy on the block with no more grass than I have that has a riding lawnmower. It's funny to watch him break that thing out to mow a 300 sq ft piece of grass in his front yard. Half the time he's fiddling around for an hour trying to get it to start.

Hell, I can mow 300 sq ft with my Stihl 110 weed eater. That thing is a beast!

I crashed a cb750 on the 9 in front of SLV high about 25 years ago. Luckily I was going real slow, but I wasn't quite paying attention, and some dude stopped right in front of me. I was able to stop the bike before I hit him, but the stopping momentum threw me off the bike onto his trunk. I got up and was ok, but the dude just drove away like nothing had happened. I did bust a hole in my crankcase when the bike dropped, so that was a fun learning experience. Yeah, bikes aren't the safest, but that's not why people ride.
We hit a dog right in front of SLV. That sucked.
Towards Ben Lomand from SLV, Glen Arbor right down from the 9. The first corner, that sharp left hand corner. Coffee corner. I lived behind on Hihn. I’ve seen soo many bike wrecks right there. Cars hitting bikes and people dumping their bikes.

Back when I was a young boy we'd go around the neighbourhood knocking on doors offering to mow lawns. We only charged $2-3 dollars. That was back in the 70's though. we'd make $10-15 a day in the summer which was damn good money for a 12-13 year old back then. I offered the kid across the street $10 once to mow my grass and he just rolled his eyes. These kids today. I don't get it.
We did that. We'd also pick flowers from yards and go door to door asking people if they wanted to buy flowers. I was pretty creative when it came to making money.

Just got diesel for $5.69... at least my tractor only holds about 12 gallons. Geez. Just changed the oil and filter on my Polaris Ranger... fuck! it's hot outside! Should have waited till sundown. @PadawanWarrior, how the temps up there? Paige just landed in Denver, and is about to cross the big pond.

Cloudy and like 67 degrees here. It's probably in the mid 70's down the hill in Denver. If she's hungry tell her to go to Rock Bottom in the airport and get some good fish and chips.

I've lived in Ben Lomond and Boulder Creek. Rescued a dog running down the 9 in Boulder Creek once. The biggest issue with bikes on the 9 is when people try to pass on the double yellow and someone's coming around the blind turn. The second biggest issue is drunk and/or jacked up bikers coming from Henflings or Brookdale Lodge.

Haha! I think that's were she told me her and her friend ate... they're boarding in a few min. for Germany, then France. I'd kill for 67 degrees right now. Next 10 days are triple digits with 60-65%rh..... it's just really unbearable. Makes the daytime really boring. Think I'll hop in the JD and crank up the AC and some Ol' Hank Williams and till up my compost pile for my outdoor crop. Hope they don't burn up.

Awesome. Rock Bottom Brewery is probably the best place to eat in the airport. They've got good beer too.

Ya, I can't deal with heat. We don't even have AC up here. It's been in the 70's lately, but today it's perfect. There's only a couple months that it's gets a little warm sometimes, but it always cools down at night.

They ride on the little mountain highways and roads around here. Talk about being a danger to everyone on the road. I say if you wanna ride your bike on the mountain roads you assume the risk, and be ready to have the living shit scared out of you as I go flying past you with the stereo blazing,. I pass on double yellows all the time when people are being dumb.

There's lots of trails that are built specifically for them, so leave the roads to the cars, :bigjoint:

I see you’re back to your bitchy old self… good on ya, we can’t all take up the slack for you man. I’m with you on this one… they make Peletons and bike parks, … ride in a fucking circle for all I care.

To be courteous I'm gonna follow this advice. I'm gonna honk and yell right when I'm passing them,

Here in southern so cal, $6.99/g for premium at the first place I stopped - $6.69/g at the second place, down to $6.59/g after the grocery rewards discount. Averaging 12.4mpg but a 36 gallon tank spaces out the refills and my carbon footprint is pretty small.
On top of high prices we have an usually number of douchy cyclists; fuckers ride three abreast on a two-lane road and expect autos to give them three fee of space - SINGLE FILE ASSHOLES! Physics suggests my two-ton truck will roll-away the winner, thought I'd rather not scratch the paint.

Not questioning your footprint, but how is 12.4 mpg a small footprint?... I mean, I don't get much better... like 16 avg.
