doug man i’m not questioning your integrity by any means. i’m not qualified to judge anyone anyway. as long as you also find and state the negatives about the free shit you’ve been given with as big of an emphasis as you’d put on the positive shit, i wouldnt expect anything more from a sponsored grower or grow. some or most dont do that so people are sceptical understandably.

I totally understand and was not taking it personally. Nobody has said a negative word to me or questioning me at all. Folks are right to question a persons motives if they are going to listen to their opinions. Those who pointed out I got my gear for free were completely accurate. I got no issue with that and even put that info into my posts for transparency. No issues here bud

its gonna fuck up the q90 and q80 values of those diodes too. plus it is a safety hazard it literally is scalding hot. medically speaking 120f is scalding hot.

I will say tho I went and double checked all my connection points that are on today. At lights on I'll double check the fixture and make sure. If anything it's a good reminder to double/triple check things

To me it looks like the driver had an internal failure. Looks like something was on the driver at first glance but if you zoom in it looks like the case split from heat and spewed carbon. I bet something fried inside.

is it a mars branded driver? i didn't even bother to look. or made by inventronics or meanwell?

It's got the Mars name but shows as an LG driver. It's different than the one on my FC 8000. My FC 6500 has an Invotronics.

Yes they were going to send a label. Problem is my kid burned the boxes in my burn barrel. I have no packaging. Not sure i can build a card board box 4ft long.

You can also tape two or more boxes together. I just had a box of rockwool slabs delivered that way.

i guess look on the bright side: it could have been much more serious. any indoors electrical failure is not fun.

or UHaul. they have some non standard size boxes too. since mars is paying, who cares if it's bigger than needed.
