it's weird: i can eat sausage both store made and local butcher made w/o issues. even spicy breakfast sausage. but when added to gravy, it lights me up.It might depend on the sausage you're using. Much of the store bought sausage is just loaded with sodium and other things. That's why I make my own from pork I grind. I've known people that have issues with bell peppers. They can eat plenty of foods that cause others heartburn without a problem though. I also know people that don't eat cucumbers for the same reason.
and from what i read, the green bell peppers aren't ripe which gives some people problems. yellow, orange and red bells are fine with me.
