Also consider that maybe leaning in for a kiss is the ask and can be accepted/rejected without additional physical contact even. I mean if you grab an unsuspecting person and shove your tongue in their mouth, I think we can all agree that's assault, but if you're making out with a girl and put your hand down her pants and she says no, that's clearly not asssult.
