It's a 320 watt unit so the 3500K light would be very good full cycle light. One should VEG your moms very well.

As for the clones ... what kind of distance between them were you planning for?
Not really sure on that I figure since they don't need a ton of light they would be under the mom canopy.

Trust me you will not get ripped off, and it will be worth the wait. Things are still fucked up in the world, hell I've been waiting a month or so for the dealership to get a pair of shocks in for the back of my car. I know its frustrating, but you will get your fixture.
I noticed they don's use the reflectors anymore. Do you still have yours on? The say it's 8-10% more efficient or something.

Never had them. Thats what I was told about them being more efficient, plus I heard when fully cranked they could start to melt. Those are the two reasons I heard of.
Nice. I didn't know the stopped using them. They should update the pics on their site. But here's what it says, I guess I never fully read the whole description.

Please note, reflectors as shown are no longer available. Recent integrated sphere testing has shown a loss of almost 8-10% in PAR wattage using the reflectors vs not. Additionally, the light is able to be operated closer to the canopy with even PAR spread.

Mine didn't come with them either.

Hi,

Just wanted to provide quick commentary on the reflectors. When we used them, they performed well in lower wattage applications (~50 watts/COB). They effectively change the beam angle from a native 120° to 90°. This does come at a cost however, as with any optic, they will reduce total light output. Reflectors lower output/affect efficiency less than a lens will, but still will cost about 8-10% in output. Biggest problem however is the heat build up, especially in higher wattage applications. This heat build up is not good for LED longevity (LEDs perform better and last longer when properly cooled) and most importantly in some cases would cause the reflector to melt, which is not good for a variety of reasons, chief among them safety. As a result we discontinued offering them and have contacted customers using them to advise against their usage. Removing the reflectors and holders helps to mitigate the melting problem.

About 18-24 months ago, LEDIL actually discontinued the product and has not put forth a replacement. Unsure of why, but can venture a guess based on our experience.

Anyone with any questions or comments are welcome to post, or contact me direct at [email protected] and I'd be happy to assist.

Have a good day
Dan

Pulled the trigger and got a cypress 4... I wonder how long before I replace my .. 35 cxb 3590s or just try to fit it all in..
I got one of those. Light works fine but it does not come with the hardware to raise or lower it. At least mine did not. None of the stuff I had for my other lights would work either. Need a pulley with 4 fingers on the bottom. The light has 4 points of contact and they are all basically on the fulcrum.

Hello @Failmore

Thanks much for the post. We offer (2) pair of ratchets (total of 4 pcs) for $10 with any purchase. We charge extra in order to not raise pricing and in cases where folks may already own ratchets from previous light installations. We recommend using a total of (4) ratchets in order to properly balance the light and also for corner by corner adjustment. This holds true for all of our lighting products.

Please let us know if you, or others, have any additional questions. Thanks much for your support.

Take care
Dan
My apologies for being blunt here.

I used 4 individual ratchets to attach the light...and it was an awful experience. The cables and box are not centered so the weight is not balanced in top. Thus the entire unit is lopsided.

You can fiddle with the individual adjustable straps all day but it will never solve the fact that you have more weight on 1 side with the attachment on the fulcrum. I have this unit in a 2x4 tent. So when I go to raise it all I do is slam it into 1 wall when I raise the 1 side. Then bash it into the other wall when I do the other side.

It requires a strap like the one flatrate has on his unit. But you would still be required to add counter weight on 1 side.

Anyways. I got it hung and flat (4 or 5 pennies) and it does the job. I'll get the mount solved between grows.

Huh interesting, I guess I will have to see how to solve for this when I have my hands on the light for my applications. Thanks for the heads up!

Finally, the Timber Magnolia 4 has arrived!

Leave it to Dan and crew to put together a serious American light. The boards are made directly by Samsung and are of the highest quality. No guessing on where they were sourced. It's got 700 diodes a board and has equal or better performance than the HLG Diablo Spyder for less money. They actually provide the averaged color spectrum as well. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

We all have our light preferences. But, objectively speaking, this is a mighty fine growing appliance
