One thing I do when reversing plants or running a pollination table is break open a calyx from time to time to see where we are at. If I saw something like that on top of my plant I'd pull it, open it and have a look.
I use STS and start a week or two before flipping, spraying at the axil sites of the female I'm reversing. I then flip the reversed female, wait 1 week and flip the other females I want it to pollinate.
If I see buds as organized as yours I know my reversal attempt has failed. At which point I kill the sprayed female and finish the table as sinsemilla. I've done that twice when I diluted my STS solution to much.
