How many use/used coots mix from buildasoil?(Think my cat peed in my soil that’s “cooking.”)

So obviously it’s quite popular, and you can read about people using it here and there. I’m about to set up a 5x5 fabric bed and also have a veg area at about 4x4 or so... so I’ll need a lot of soil and just wanted to confirm beforehand.

I honestly already have like 100 gallons that’s been sitting under a tarp in my basement for a few months now... but I think my fucking cat peed IN THE SOIL a little bit, I’m hoping that I can still use it but was already thinking about buying fresh stuff. Thoughts?

Feel for you that's a lot of soil, any kebab shops near you?
I looked up “kebab shops near me” and some came up, I doubt they’re real ones though bc of where I live. What are you suggesting?

I mean if my cat peed in my plants I wouldn’t freak out, I wonder if this is an issue. I’m almost thinking fuck it and start fresh bc I’m about to dump a couple grand into this grow.

Well my dog found a batch of soil in my basement and decided it was dig time.
Literally got every bit of dirt out of my kiddy pool...

Cat pee. Although nasty should in theory work itself out. Now If it was once or twice maybe. If the little bastard( no offense to your cat) used it as it’s liter box for some time I sure wouldn’t use it.

He is not a bastard, he’s a catnip ADDICT who knows no bounds and is son of a bitch who I love deeply. honestly I’m not even going to use it. It’ll go in my garden, I think I’ll just buy fresh. Too much money on the line.

LOL. Joking aside I love all furry friends. If you knew the profanity I’ve been learning due to my out of control new puppy peta would come for me for verbal abuse. LOL. It’s all in love.

And yeah tbh 100 g of soil
Is not that much. If I remember you had some issue getting supplies locally? I love build a soil but they can be pricey. 100 g looks like a lot less soil to toss if you can source some things local and cheap.

Debating letting this dog go in the middle of the woods. I’m sure she’d be happy....

I wouldn't toss 100 gallons of soil just because my cat peed in it TBH. I'd just continue on and water it in. lol

For sure cat pee will kill a houseplant if they use your little pot as a daily bathroom. It's happened to me. But just weeks ago, our cat peed into a single plug cell of a starter seed tray I was doing for Thai peppers before the seeds had even sprouted. That's a lot of pee for just a few grams of soil. I just watered it really well (flushed) and the seeds came up just fine and everything is growing as good as the other plants. Smelled though even after I flushed that planting cell, but it's only temporary. That was the bad part.

Edit: Perhaps cat pee is the way to up terpene production in our medicine. I've seen no research on this yet however. *kidding*

Any kind of waste is okay if the animal's diet is okay (generally not commercial pet foods, more along the lines of a raw diet/all natural). Urine is a good source of nitrogen. How do you think they "charge" bio-char . . . For properly composted Bio-waste, you need four months for it to be inert nutes.
I have to agree if there are a number of mooky stinks in the soil, maybe think twice.
And I agree, you have to grow Cat Piss.

IMO the cat pee in the soil wont hurt it a bit, mix it up and if you are really worried about it water in some LABS. It'll help break down the cat pee faster and improve the overall health of the soil in general. One batch of soil i was resting had too much water and started to go anerobic. Watered in some labs and dried the soil out...... got some great looking girls growing in it right now...Your soil microbiology will '' take care'' of the cat pee .....
