1.8-2m total height to ceiling (rooms on a slope) about to purchase some lights so tossing up whether go led or HP's in the past I've used HP's/MH but that was years ago and leds are undoubtedly getting alot better so it makes the decision alot harder

LED strips for sure that is not much height. You can have the plants basically touching them without any bleaching. Buy quality.

Any brands you would recommend I look at?

Samsung or Bridgelux for strips. Cutter has some of his own that are good but a bit more costly.

If you spend the money on quality and run them correctly . Personally I think climate control is even more important with led to keep up transpiration rates without the ir boost

I reckon your right, have to monitor shit climate wise a bit more with the leds to get results. Where the cmh have a bit more sway so to speak

Hso its a good all rounder nothing really spectacular or lacking about it, its vigorous mould resistant easy to clone yields great smokes good not a knock you for 6 strain but good and decent flavor, just stock standard weed, to me atleast

I ended up buying 2 of these:

having Ir chips on an led board is stupid but and defeats the purpose. Better off with seperate far red initiator strips on a separate timer running 5-15 mins before lights on and after lights off.

that unwanted IR does help push transpiration when temps dip. It can be a handy crutch some can’t do without when they switch to leds.

Same stuff thats everyone else has mentioned. HLG, Ausie high lights, Cutter. I know Klx got a deal on F strips for like $1 a strip or something stupid recently.
