They need 24 hours of light at that size.
Ok I have a small clip fan in there right now I'll aim it a bit more at them I was worried that it would be too much air flow for them..Position a fan where they get a small trickle of wind. Just so they twitch a bit.
Oh yeah switch to the SF2000 today. No reason to run T8's when you have a good led panel.Could it be my lighting? I have them under two two bulb t8 florescent right now I'm going to switch to a spider farmer 2000 led today going to have it about 30 inches from the tops. Right now the t8's are 4 inches or so from the tops. Thoughts?
No they dont. 18/6 is fine. They need 24 hours of light at that size.
They look pale from lack of light and 24 hours gives maximum growth in the seedling stage. These babies need rehabilitation in my professional opinion. 24 hours of light will fatten them as quickly as possible. He needs 84 degree temps and 24 hours of the t-8 light he is using. 18 will work but not as fast.No they dont. 18/6 is fine.
Or he could just turn the SF2000 on lol. They look pale from lack of light and 24 hours gives maximum growth in the seedling stage. Looking forward to seeing them respond to the SF2000. Does it have a kelvin rating?Oh yeah switch to the SF2000 today. No reason to run T8's when you have a good led panel.
If my memory serves me I want to say it has dioes that are emitting 5000 to 6000k and I want to say it has some ir but don't quote me on it.Looking forward to seeing them respond to the SF2000. Does it have a kelvin rating?
They will love it. Ive sprouted seeds under CFL, Cheap LED, 315cmh, and 1000w HPS. Current grow was sprouted under 315cmh and i think i like that the best. CFL/fluorescent was worst. Cheap LED was ok. 1000w HPS was good. 315cmh was GREAT!Looking forward to seeing them respond to the SF2000. Does it have a kelvin rating?
For me it has been 6000k T-5's one inch away 24-20 hours the first 7-14 days. Then the HPS.They will love it. Ive sprouted seeds under CFL, Cheap LED, 315cmh, and 1000w HPS. What did you use to ph the water? My tap water is around 8ph after 24 I'm using fox farm ocean forest and happy frog 40% each with 20% perliteThese girls were in something similar to fox farm ocean forest and never given anything but plain ph'd water..
Sounds like a good plan but you said one of the plants was in a medium with no nutrients? That one is going to need some nutes. Even if you just top dress with some earth worm poop. I really wouldnt be afraid of running the big light. These girls sprouted under a 100$ LED and when they were the size of your plants, i turned the 1000w HPS on.RetiredGuerrilla & JoeBlow5823, gentleman thank you both for your insight and advice. My inner voice was telling me something isn't right and thanks to you two gents I have a direction to go in. So my plan is to go to 24hrs light as they are autos and it shouldn't really hurt them. And I have immediately lowered the t8 to one inch and pointed the fan as to cause then all to twitch a little. I plan on switching to the led in about two days as I feel the switch to the led may shock them a bit and since I've stressed the girls out already I want to ease them into it. I'll see how the light does one inch away if I'm not liking it in two days or so I'll switch to the led. And I'll hold off on the nutes and water with phd water only. How's that for a plan? Again thank you both for your advice.
This is the one i use. I really like it.What did you use to ph the water? My tap water is around 8ph after 24 I'm using fox farm ocean forest and happy frog 40% each with 20% perlite
nice... could you do Far Red alone? the books state it will increase germ rate on darkgermer. They will love it. Ive sprouted seeds under CFL, Cheap LED, 315cmh, and 1000w HPS. I meant what do you use to lower the ph of my water from around 8.3 to 6.3, without killing the mycorrhizae?
Oh i use citric acid. Cheap as fuck and a 10 pound bag will literally last forever. Like a pinch per 10 gallons usually gets me from 8 to 6.5I meant what do you use to lower the ph of my water from around 8.3 to 6.3, without killing the mycorrhizae?
