Their singular focus on shitting on the US even strays into #fossilfuel even though their country is completely dependent on sales of nasty, dirty tar sand oil to stay relevant on the economic scene. Racism and growing inequality is a real problem in Canada but you wouldn't know it, looking at their posts here.

I think your gonna get trolls and psychos showing up from all over, VPNs aren't hard to set up, but we have our share of racists and loonies too. Personally I'll stomp em hard when I see them. My observations are not much different than the American media and I always try to be a good friend and ally. We know what the issues are and we know the solution will come in november. America will be back to normal soon, Trump is your burden and we all understand at least your friends do. There are problems now and tragedy, but the political and social clock will be moved up by a decade in November, the price is sad and horrific however.

What is going on in America is extraordinary by any measure, understanding is required from your friends, not criticism for its own sake. I personally feel the country will emerge better and stronger than ever, a more perfect union if you will.
