I saw some close to 3', but don't remember where! :wall:

I used three one ft. strips and others have used a 1ft. and a 2 ft.

thank you, price is not the concern though, are there a better/different options ?
or am I overthinking this. I just want to make the best light I can right now & not worry about upgrading for a while.

EB gen 3s
Here's the 2' ones

And the 1' ones.

It will be 590mm+340mm=930mm end to end.
That's exactly 36" or 3'.

Thank you so much
Please excuse my ignorance on this subject , If you can, could you please suggest the amount of the above listed strips & required driver to max out & build a "good" light please, I would like to build the best light I can right now so I will not "need" to upgrade for awhile.
I see these strips are only 1/2" wide, would it be okay to run 2 strips, side by side on a 2" wide heat sink ?
Say 12 - 36" HS's with 2 of each strips mount on each ?
I really appreciate your time & help, thank you

You can use as few it as many aS you'd like as long as the minimum# is going to be within the current range the strip can handle. By adding more of them, the crew t to each strip goes down even spread yes you can definitely out 2-3 side by side on a 2" wide heatsink.

Assuming you have to build a frame for this, why not get a little creative. if you stick with 2ft strips your options in terms of available, easy to get strips opens up, offsetting strips has very little impact on coverage, just means you need a couple more spines on your frame

Yeah, something like this but with 2 ft strips in each corner; even better: get 2 drivers, one for 4 strips in the perimeter and another for the central ones, that way you can really get perfect evenness by both design and dimming till you get it right.

Its what i did on this one but for a 80x80cm. See how the central diodes are a bit less bright than the perimeter? But it takes thinking thru the design properly before you start, this one gave me huge headaches cause of measurements being very tight. IMG_20200607_202323.jpg
Here again with a bit better white balance:
About 2700 diodes of white +22 mono reds 660/630nm.
