genetics is always at least partially to blame. Yeah other things may effect density but genetics will always be part of the reason.
Damn now I'm not sure if I should bother finishing my closet attempt. it's taught me what I needed to know and it's not gonna do great things ugh prob not worth the power bill for another 6 weeks but damn it's hard

If leaf temps aren’t too high (32* CO2 enriched) is it ok to have a few sacrificial light burnt fan leaves, to get maximum PPFD at the canopy? Only the fan leaves are affected, and only a few closest to the light.
I do this fairly often using the same logic as you sacrifice a bit of quality of 1 head for the good of the rest. I find the head thats getting a lil light burnt always stacks on the weight hard.

How did you find this stuff mate? Any good? And which salts have you gone to now?
Cheers man!
It’s pretty good stuff it’s online or at a hydro shop. I’m using the same companies nutes just there 2 part nutes. I just add mkp in flower and a nitrogen booster can’t remember of the top of my head

probably calcium nitrate for the b boost. Cheap as on eBay etc or that site I linked you the other day for the mpk sells it in the same sizes I think.

Air cooled hood with a 315cmh and 600hps, along with 2 kingbrite 240w led

don’t know par. Yes, venting at lights out.
if you don’t know PAR then burnt leaves are a sign it’s too much ;).
Even with a PAR meter the UV from some lights like CMH may not be registered anyway as it falls out of readable range of most meters.
Light stress can lead to other things like fox tailing, poor cannabinoid production, as examples.

good start for next season. Going to keep adding more gypsum and dolomite lime every couple of weeks until spring? Don’t think you could go overboard on the gypsum at all.

Now would be a good time for a trailer load of manure and a bale or 2 of lucerne mulch/hay.
The base soil wasn't as bad as I initially thought. Probably because I dug it over & added a lot of stuff last season, but yeah, could probably do with more. I can get trailer-loads of local horse shit for nothing (the owners will even shovel it into the trailer for me!). The only PITA issue is getting to the actual grow-spot. Much like everything else that I've humped to the spot on my back.......

Mulch is definitely on the cards & I can get a few bales locally.

Thanks for the Dolomite Lime kick in the arse. I KNEW I was missing something.....

Y'know....trivial stuff..... like my Mum is about to pass in the next 24-48 hrs........ Hence I'm posting at 2.30am.....& I'm trying to distract myself....

Anyone got any good tips for dealin with withdrawals mainly the sleeping part. Iike to take a break from smoking for a few months here and there to clear my head, but always get withdrawals where i can only sleep a few hrs a night if at all. Ialready go to the gym 5-6 times a week and am sure to tire myself out but if im goin through withdrawals even with goin the gym i cant sleep and even if i havnt slept the night before i may only get an hr or two so anyone got any good ideas?

Get a script for melatonin, or buy it off ebay. Just make sure it's the 2, 5 or 10mg slow release and doesn't have a X at the end of it. The X means its naturopathic where the ones without are pharmaceutical and actually work!

second the melatonin that Easty mentioned. Also if your using a preworkout for the gym cut it out. Also try and reduce sugar and caffeine from your diet. Don’t get on screens before bed.
Reading, or listening to some chill music works for me too.

in soil there’s not really such a thing as too many amendments, just too much of one thing. Go easy on the mulch if your not adding shit in with it. If your adding shit, go hard on the mulch. Soil works better the broader the range of amendments used.
