Clone or a clone of a clone

Yeah I never said once above, that a perfect grower will lose his clones of clones either just to clear that up, I’m saying a lot of ppl ain’t gonna be able to keep there prized pheno’s for 10+ years before sumthing happens to it and they end up losing it, that’s all I rly was pointing to

That's the absolute truth.

I was careful with my babies. I looked after them in the summer and winter and back again.

Took clones of clones of clones etc. Everything was perfect....or so I thought.....

After a awhile, I must have gotten used to the routine and started doing it in my sleep.

Great plan for repetitive tasks, not so great when you need to be aware of problems. I ended up losing my clones in one night because the the temps were slightly off at the same time bugs hit.

I was careful, I watched them and even with everything going in my favor, they died.

It happens and random chaos can't be accounted for.

These kids are dumb as fuck don’t listen to anything th y say, they pump thre plants full of nutrients thinking it’s helping and a lot of em run coco I’m using pro mix ..that’s why they cry when I talk about cycling, and there plants are dark green at harvest still loaded with nitrogen and they wonder why there weed is lacking in taste and quality
So, your one of those "let the plant starve and die right before harvest" ? THIS forum has proved that wrong over 10 years ago. Thats an ol stoner myth. Cycle ? what are we cycling ?

Good morning campers!

Since the OP question has been answered, I'm hijacking this thread.

I like growing from regular seeds because I'm a breeder and want to phenotype (as best I can) my best plants from the batch before I start breeding them.

Do you like regular, feminized or auto seeds?

Are you an admirerer, grower or a breeder?

Thread take aways;

Clones of clones lose nothing genetically.

A good water schedule that's been fine tuned will help you alot.

Some dick named Kaleb is a thread hijacker.

...also...

It's coffee and joint time. Have a delightful morning.

i would like to see all fems burned. Im a grower with breeder friends and i like genetics. Stick with regular so they can be bred if needed. Burn all fems to get rid of some of the hermie genetics.
thats my take on beans.

I had a bad experience with mr nice regular seeds back in the day a lot of em hermied on me an few went male, I’m not a breeder I’m a heavy smoker tho and my buyers always wanted the frosssst! An bag appeal over ‘potential medicinal effect” fer example they’d rather a heavy duty sleeper if it leveled there ass quick, even if they don’t have insomnia or whatever haha u know how kids be
Could be all that stress you gave them to produce mad thc like glue

True, this my first tent grow, also my first time swapping plants from advanced nutes to organic dry from veg to flower, in that transition I gave too much calcium (thought the Gaia green wouldn’t of kicked in that quick) and it locked out my P , instead of feeding more P I backed off 2ml per gal on the calmag.. again, I don’t know what my tap water ppm is yet either I had to dial it in by hand this run with calmag cuz it’s filtered.. I caught the Calcium overload super quick and it didn’t seem to affect bud growth very much if any cuz it was caught within a day and fixed, but thats the sole reason my plants had a few lower yellows and deficiency look throughout the whole grow, cuz of that day 11 flower fuck up , after that they greened back up as much as they could , and they look great rn there day 58 flower huge buds rock solid and greasy af
Sorry, but all I am hearing from you is how awesome you are and how you know your shit.......except when you put up a picture of a very boring grow with obvious mistakes, then it's a wait for it.......first tent grow. Like growing in a tent is so different from all other forms of growing. I think I told you back on page 4 or 5 that I gave you a 50/50 chance of not fcking up your grow. Well you proved me right. Just for a reminder lets take a look at your plants that are every so much better than all the grows around you.

I think I was actually being pretty nice, but to be honest, these plants are pathetic for somebody who says they've been growing as long as you have. But I will say they look better than I thought they would by going off your nonsense in this thread. My new favorite is that seeds from one of the most respected breeders hermied because it was them.....not you. Dude, you are a disgrace.

I’m gonna admit rite here rite now, no I’m not a professional grower like Johnny been saying.. but I do know what I’m doing at the end of the day and tb dead honest I’ve never had 1 unsuccessfully grow in my life I had a natural green thumb in the bush when I was 15... and the ppl in my life know that and they love and look forward BIG TIME to smoking whatever I harvest becuz it’s always dried right and extremely gooey an loaded wit terps an nice looks...I will admit I have a lot of room for growth here and that I do not know everything, but one thing I do know with soil is watering practice is your key to potency later in flower
You're the one who said you were a professional grower dumbass.

I don't even put up pics on sites anymore, after 20+ years on boards starting with OG (not Canadiantoker) I just don't anymore, but dude, this is 4 plants in a closet your size. 3 weeks veg (600 mh) 8 weeks flower (1000 hps) and yielded a pound and a half. I even messed this up because like a dumb-ass I thought I would experiment with pH to see how low I could go.

looks banging i got my gdp that looks meh it really just went past my expectations on feed wanting 1300 ppm at a time and like 400 to 500 of that was just n with cal

First run with this strain, friend said they grew out of control for him so in retrospect I would let them veg a little longer but that might not be needed, they really got hurt by me using 5.5 pH in pro-mix even though my target is normally 6.3. I just wanted to see what would happen and couldn't wrap my head around why there would be such a shift from straight hydro with water and no substrate. I think it has to do with the charge of the medium but I don't really need to understand the science behind it, I know that they don't like 5.5 first hand now.

yea that's a reason i have a ph probe i give my soil around 30 min to balance out after feeding then i take my reading and if its to low i hit it with just a water at 6.8 usually when my shit goes out of line. i say when my coco is hitting 5.5 to 5.6 that's when i start having a little problems but not horrible ones usually my girls like 5.8 to 5.9 maybe even 6 depends on how much i fed. a reason i have a ph probe i give my soil around 30 min to balance out after feeding then i take my reading and if its to low i hit it with just a water at 6.8 usually when my shit goes out of line. i say when my coco is hitting 5.5 to 5.6 that's when i start having a little problems but not horrible ones usually my girls like 5.8 to 5.9 maybe even 6 depends on how much i fed.

For some reason pro-mix likes 6.3 to 6.5 and I just wanted to see what 5.5 would do because I spent decades in recirc dwc and aero and I always set at 5.5 and let it drift out of range before remixing. Won’t do that again, prolly lost a few oz and a week because of it.

I used coco for mothers for a year but after hearing people say I would need to feed them up to twice a day In coco I thought I’d give pro-mix a go and haven’t looked back, favorite medium by far. Sucks bringing a 60 pound bale downstairs though.

ok, so I have a hypothesis on this:

Is it us, and not the plant? The plants genetics don't change, even though we believe its some sort of mutation, and we are not the variable. Is the problem; we gain experience as we go and want to change other variables like light, water, nutes for giant buds, better taste etc, and try to implement new techniques to a strain that is "pheno'd" to the environment we originally started with...i bet your grow for the exact strain today, is way different from 10 clones ago. Just curious on your thoughts. I dial in slightly ever time...sometimes I turn the dial the wrong way, lmfao!
