If some one wanted to insulate to soundproof a shed which may or may not have a grow tent inside of it one day, how an what would you use to get the job done.
Walls are mostly cement sheeting with tin roof..

Any reason for the steel track an stud over just standerd 2x3 timber framing
Theres plenty of ways to quiten fans an all that gear but would stand insultion an plaster be enough to block the sound of a recirculating hydro setup

I just like it better and it has nice U shapes to hold the insulation in. I am always doing everything one man band.

Fuck building boxes and all that shit for fans what a pain in the arse, then you gotta find the room for it inside. Better to just make the room soundproof. I have multiple recirculating systems going at once. In the middle of the night when it is silent, if I stand at the door and listen and the tray is draining waterfall in the veg tray just inside the door I can hear it. But I have close neighbours all around me and there is no way they can hear a thing not even close.

no way its crap,

just steal 20mm hat section batterns, (go to midalia steel with 150-200 bucks, should do it n look good to) with 6mm cement board, and a roll or two of foil insulation (shiney side out,fluffy inside)befor you chuck up the batterns,

some screws, stud adhesive
joint tape

done

i just been through all that its a nightmare,

but once done,, n painted, its pimped

Yea the dead silence durin the middle of the night would be the main concern for noise. As for buildin the boxes an crap for the fans wouldn worry about ones inside the room/tent it only be on the outside/exhuast part dependin an how loud that is.
Probs would try stay away from air pumps an go the waterfall way about it all. Plenty of things to think about anyway, cheers for the input
