Saw a nice growlight at the Philips Lighting company website called the top lighting compact. Puts out around 1800 uMol/second at 600w. If so that's an easy to figure 3 uMol/watt efficiency. That's what I need. Anybody know the price or anything about it? https://www.lighting.philips.com/main/products/horticulture/products/greenpower-led-toplighting
Seems like they come with three different led spectrum blend options. Looks like they are for supplementary greenhouse application and need to be hung high for optimal light distribution/spread.

Very nice reading so far.
My concern about this and other newer LEDs is the far red range.

Looks a lot of Fr to bump up the numbers.
Too much Fr and especially Ir are not good.

Judging by the numbers of LEDs per bar.
Fr is 7.5%

Maximum Fr should be 5%/4%.

IR should be on a separate power source, able to turn on and off on it's own.
Only using for 15mins at end of light cycle.

I would like to be able to control the Fr on another ballast too.

Maybe the Far Red is not that high. In diode quantities, overall, looks like 5/6 Deep to 1 Far. Seems like they picked safe generic numbers.

Thanks for your valuable information.

As I'm currently building my very first LED lamp and looking to add the proper amount of Fr (660nm).

Which I believe can vary depending on white light spectrum k value.

I'm running 3k and from what I have read, Fr (660nm) can range from 2.5% to 11.8%

Newer diodes are more efficient so I expect the percentage of Fr to be lower than 8%/9% that was previously recommended.

New figures I had of 4%/5% after reading Dr B's lab tests.

Ir(730nm) is only 1% maximum of 10w. From my reading.

I follow Shane since I started in 2018.
That much so I have a 100.

Needing to upgrade and loved the Zeus review.

Which got my reading about the correct amount of Fr needed before it came too much and detrimental.
Again thanks for your reply, as I'm only ever gonna guess the correct amount without a Fr spectrum analysis.

i think some things are getting mixed up here, 660-680 is deep red, 730 is far red and i would say 800+ is infrared

according to the spectrum the zeus has no 730 only 680.

@dirtyoldb You already have 3K 80CRI, so it seems logical to try add some 660nm. Just be sure to not mix up Deep Red (660nm) and Far Red.

Grotbags beat me to it on the Deep Red and Far Red. I have seen posters slipping up on this, here and there.

Is your unit the Pro version Migro posted video on? I linked to it just a few posts above. Seems there are two types of red diode on that Pro version. Watch from the 4.20 minute mark. :D

@grotbags
Thanks for the clearing that up.

Yes I was confused about deep red, far red and infrared.

Know what the numbers are I want (660) and the odd (730)

From the video its shows 2 reds? after every white strip, for 3 runs of white. Followed by 1 white then a single darker red. After the one darker red, every white strip ends 2 reds again but this time 2 runs of white before a darker red. Then back to 3 white etc.

Looking very well placed and thought out.

Again thanks for all the information.

@ end thanks for that info too.

My old lamp is Migro100 before it came more efficient. Was between 100 and Optic 1.

Will now use this as a veg lamp adding tent.

Thanks for the 3k info also. Be running 301.

Just loved the design of the Zeus and its extra reds or red ?

What's your thoughts so far with the unit you got?
ok so far, i mean its growing flowers decent enough. the spectrum looks a little white to me (but what do i know), i would have prefered a lower K. by my eyeball it looks around 3700/3800 dunno i would just have prefered warmer.
i was in an unusual position as i had one dimlux 400v sodium left in my flower room and i wanted to try a full room led run, i was ready to flip so the lumatek was really the only option i had (didnt have time to order and build a diy rig like my others) where as i could order the zues and have it hanging few days later. and it didnt hurt that shane had just gave it a glowing review and i could get hold of one cheap! so thought fuck it.
the zues will probably be replaced by a diy rig using cutters new version of the solstrip when they are available, then ill give the zues to a friend or bust it and rewire it and run soft for edge lighting.

yep mine is a pro, and yes i have noticed there a couple of red diodes that appear different than the rest, but i am just going by the spectrum graph lumatek provide which shows just a 680 bump but no 730.

After watching the video again I seen they have the 4% far red (700-780) for 3.5k spectrum.

Slightly higher deep red with the aid of orsam diodes, compared to green. With blue about 1/4 PPFD.

Very nice design indeed, just like it a bit more around the 3k spectrum miss out the 4k lights that seem to be every combo now.

Best build I have seen, just trying to get my head round the numbers to make my own very similar to the Zeus.
Just be swapping diodes for 301s and xpg 3

Thanks for the class lesson on my novice mistake. Would have been a major error if I had already ordered from cutter.

Thanks again.

I can get this for 799 in a preorder right now for August, is it worth it?

What spectrum was it? 3700k/3800k? That's strange..
