Cut a few buds, dry them properly and try them. It's the best way to learn whats going on. New growers should all try this, just not cut all the plant. This way you can observe how chopping early causes the weed that dries to smell and taste like lawn clippings even though it was dank smelling at chop and the overall lack of buzz compared to a few weeks more ripening.

Yea this basically what I was trying to say i was trying to figure out the deficiencies of early sample so I can get a ideal of what to look for and during final harvest for future grows

Leave the top bud, take a small middle or lower. Its a bit more behind the tops so it may give you an idea of what the tops were a week or so earlier than they are now.

Always keep learning, I sure still am! Experiment and be prudent at the same time by selecting early nugs with care and studying the differences between those and the ripe and even over ripe ones. May as well learn as much as possible from a first grow.

Branch off mine and make a clone. If she turns out good then you got yourself a clone. Make You a little greenhouse out of a plastic 2 liter bottle. They just seem to take a little longer to start rooting when they are in flower. And I have better results when I leave a small piece of the the buds still on there than clipping those nugs off completely. As far as cloning an auto, never tried it. Best of luck.

I always start sampling around 8 weeks.. on the bottom buds.. the stronger they are.. the happier I am...this also gave me a chance to learn drying curing and from the mistakes being made...

Cloning auto’s will just get you a small bud plant . They will not reveg.

From my experience with autos you can take a sample when first fan leaves start to become yellow: when plant think it is autumn. And you can wait until all fan leaves will become yellow and some start to fell off, that means you weed is super ripe.
