I don't think you can smoke raw bud. I think you have to at least dry it. You can make tea with raw bud.

Looks like an auto. 3 weeks left my guess. Whatever your sampling now will weight 3 times as much later.
Yes first grow went with auto and lol I know just wanted to kinda see the difference between the taste Nd high of the bud now and final harvest I keep seeing the debate over it kinda wanna see for myself just wanted to know if it’s the right time to do it

Thanks last question will it hurt if I clip the top cola ?
I would save the top if it was me, and just clip a lower little nug or branch.

And ya you can smoke fresh bud, but it will be a little harsh. Still it will give you an idea of what's to come. I would use a bong though for fresh shit. But of course it's better to let it dry out a little first.

It's not ready if that's what you're thinking. That needs at least a few more weeks to fully mature.

I want to freeze my trim and make live resin on my first grow. On a small scale maybe you can freeze a fresh nug and toss it around in a grinder with a coin to get live kief?

If you're not desperate for weed I would wait a few weeks before cutting anything. Post more pics in 2-3 weeks and the RIU community will help you learn how to tell when they are fully mature. They will change a lot over the next few weeks, in a good way, but only if you let them and don't harvest early like a lot of people. Welcome to RIU.

Cut a few buds, dry them properly and try them. It's the best way to learn whats going on. New growers should all try this, just not cut all the plant. This way you can observe how chopping early causes the weed that dries to smell and taste like lawn clippings even though it was dank smelling at chop and the overall lack of buzz compared to a few weeks more ripening.

Lots of people like this early bud high. Every once in awhile I try a larf nug when I miss some under the canopy. Straight head high and very strong effect in my eyes. Only lasts 30 min usually.

depends on factors like strain and individual. Personally I find that sativas chopped early provide little to no effect except a low grade headache. Early chopped indicas can be more like what you described but not always. That said, I have a buddy with a super low tolerance and he loves early weed and I can tell he is roasted on it when I can't feel diddly.
