Bulbs or a light board?

Is there a difference? I’m either gonna order some 1000 watt hops bulbs or they got the 1000 watt full spectrum light board. What’s best?

Well it depends on what you are looking for, I've used HPS for over 30 years, But recently switched to LED and cannot be happier, for the fact my ladies are doing just as well of better under the LED and my power bill is less than half the amount it was.

I Really depends on your place 1000 watt Hop or Hps puts out a very hot heat source so keeping your ladies far enough away is a constant job you have to watch n keep them 18 to 30 inches away, My LEDs I can raise or lower to close or far and they still work great, Matter of fact they been working better further away.

Just make sure when you but them to check here and do some research.

Be sure to carefully read the specs/description for those LEDs. A lot of times companies use "1000" and you read the fine print and the coverage and lumens are only claimed to be equivalent to 250w MH/HPS.

I just purchased my first light set and from what I saw, the claimed lumen "equivalent" of 1000w in LED was generally more expensive than the HPS unless you were really buying cheap crap. I just needed 400w or the equivalent in a well-cooled space, so the heat) power drawbacks weren't a factor for me.

It’s pretty cold this time of year where I’m at so the extra heat will probably be good. Ive been using just a shit load of 60 watt grow bulbs so I’m excited to see the difference

I understand, I just can't stand the marketing gimmicks and don't want this poor fella to be disappointed after 4 months of growing a twig
This is my first grow and I started with 10 solo cups in a chinchilla cage lmao only 4 were females and at that point I just left them in cups. now i got the Mylar grow box and getting the 1000 watt hps. It’s only uphill when you start out like this. Boy do they look pretty tho!

MH/HPS is the cheaper investment up front, you just pay more in bulbs and heat, not always a bad trade off though. And yeah, it is tough grabbing everything last minute instead of planning upfront, you'll find that applies to almost every hobby in life. You will also spend more doing things last minute.
