Help!

Quantums are mostly diy and in kit form . Some kits come with everything , simple to wire and use.
L shaped or channel shape extruded aluminum can be bought at any hardware store for some building ( suited for your own design or space )

You can see I just cut a small piece of L shaped aluminum ( to fasten to QB 96 ) then a little L bracket to channel shaped aluminum.
Easy.

But as he stated above the 3 QB 288 R spec board kit is hard to beat ... simple screw to heatsink and wiring .
Driver 320w is about $82 ( different vendor ) and your done.

But any of their offerings work well .
Ok that makes a lot more sense now and seems fairly straight forward seeing it like that. I might just go this route instead.

where do you get your drivers from would love to know <3

here ill link u what u would need for a full build and you can add up the price and see if your getting a good deal because for like 375 its not bad for a 340 rated draw even tho I pull 360+ even on my 600 I pull 716 like holy shit
https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/all/products/qb288-v2-with-slate-2-triple With code diy10 =$ 251.10
ANYWHERE HLG-320H-48B = $100 5%+_
wire all u need like is 10 bucks for 25 feet
Hell yea dude both you and @Budzbuddha are life savers for this diy. I would have spent hours chasing my tail but this isn’t bad at all. How much heat does yours produce?

im running 600 watts rn and I can barely keep the room heated if I goto my 1200 I would have no problem at all

That’s perfect then I’ll definitely get that v2 triple as it exceeds my grow tent anyway but more light the better right? I’ll pass on your light then. I’ll use mine for a esperarte veg tent if I get another tent down the line

Did you watch any specific video to help you out? If so could you post the link on here too lol

Heres a little sumthin for u

Multiple Boards can be wired in parallel. Different batches of boards may have slightly different voltages. Use only boards from same batch for parallel connection. Do not use different spectrum boards in parallel as they may have slightly different voltages aka just buy the things we told u

Tip: Avoid daisy chaining multiple boards as shown in the 2nd image below. This causes first board to handle a large current and can reduce life of board's electrical trace. Wiring as shown in 1st image is preferable.

Does the source of power have enough slots to wire all three light boards as shown in the first photo without adding a second board in parallel? Since it comes with three

That is the kind of response that this grower doesn’t need .....
He‘s getting into the game so if he can bring this plant to finish then he won.

and for your info that vipar isn’t 600 watts actual .... more like 278 at wall.
I know ... I used to use them . And I got good weed from it. Light choice is one part of the equation, skill makes it better.
its the truth though. prep up for the next grow and add more light to that one. sure light = yield but you still need a decent sized plat plus the light he is using is good for a 1st grow and he isnt even using more then a 2x2 space what that light can easily handle with some ok sized buds

i was one of them people that spent more on equipment and electricity cost then the weed i produced on my 1st few grows. much better to work with what you have until you lean to grow better

You make a valid point as even a great light source won’t yield much if I can’t grow properly

How do you make compost tea and what exactly is work castings? This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of that but have no clue what it is or how to make it. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!
I ment worm casting. Composte tea brew. Is when you take a bocket of water and add compost to it and had a air pomp to it and other thing like molasses and let it fermante for a few days. Then you use that water to water the plant. The main goal is beneficial bacteria. Some companie offer compost brew mix. Or you can make your own. And add great white. Do it in dechlorinated water and ket ferment for 24hours to 5days after that point beneficial bacteria are in abiundance and start dying off. Have fun

Im a noobie but i built some kick a hlg qb lights.

You wire multiple in parallel using WAGO connectors. Best to have one wire from power supply split to as many boards as you use, say 3 per with the 320 kits. It avoids all issues with possible shorts.

Google search your power supply choice. The market is super competitve and buy as big a supply as your boards and electrical system can safely handle. You can dim them with the right choices. Dimmer is money so you dont just have to raise or lower lights.

I found Mouser electronics to be the most competitive including shipping. The power supplies (meanwells) are tanks. Point a fan at the heat sink to keep the heat down.
