Can I cure my buds with some leaves left on and burp as normal?

Hello all, I had a good first grow and ended up with quite a bit of product and just finding it impossible to process it all before it needs to be cured and don't want it to get to dry on me so I was wondering if I can cure it with the leaves on and dry trim the buds at a later date? I tried to pull a lot of the fan leaves off but could not get them all. I have my product in 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids and have been burping twice a day. I also have some boveda packs in there also just to be safe. Will this effect the smell or taste? Is this going to be ok? I plan on final trimming asap. Thanks all.

If its already dry enough to prevent mold (big IF) then you could just pull the rest of the leaves another day.

I would have been more worried about drying with the fan leaves on, way before even sealing up the flowers but im sure you've got a hygrometer.. I hope

I pulled a lot of the fan leaves off prior to drying. I dried the branches in a dry room that I kept about 68 degrees and around 48-52 percent humidity. There is no issues with mold, plus I am using boveda packs as a extra measure of precaution. Thanks again for your reply.

Yes, you can jar it up and cure it with the trim still on. As long as all the fan leaves are trimmed and it's properly dried, you'll be good to cure it like that. I don't have any help and I harvest a decent amount of outdoor every year. So that is how I do it every season. You can always do the finish/final trim later.

Thanks for the reply, What is the purpose of pulling all the fan leaves prior to starting the curing process?

Technically, I guess you wouldn't have to. I don't really use them for anything, so I just get them out of the way. They take up jar space and it takes a bit longer to get rid of that fresh chlorophyll smell if you leave them to cure with the buds and sugar trim.

Old thread great question though and I've done this, then I realized HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOOD ICKY STINKY WEED!
Hang your plant upside down removing any fan leaves, keeping sugar leaves on...dry, clip the buds throw them In. The jar with the sugar leaves still curled around your buds....pull em out 3 months later, trim a bud, PERFECTLY PERSERVED TTICHOMES. I am actually stunned this isn't the way irs done for us home grower pot heads. The leaves protect the bud, like a frickin safety blanket im not kidding. Get a 4 ounce jar next time throw 2 nice buds in it with sugar leave still encasing the bud. Just try it. Use an old olive jar you rinsed out.

Anyone find any difference cutting them down before lights go on as compared to midday or night ? Or with wet or dry medium?
