LB's Wildly Mediocre DWC/ScROG Grow

I can't seem to find my notebook that would contain the exact date of flip (I'll try to fish it out of my daily journals!), but I do know that it only took between 1 and 2 weeks for preflowers to develop. So that'd be roughly 5 and a half to 6 and a half weeks since flip. For the first couple of weeks during stretch I did run a Metal Halide to help reduce stretch then switched to HPS, but I don't think that would explain the utter lack of bud size I have here. I just can't shake the feeling that something isn't dialed in, particularly when I see people rocking 600w HPS's pulling larger colas than I am. And ok Stl that's what I'm going to do then. And yeah I agree, they haven't! I need time to build up RO water though so I may only be able to flush 1 or 2 plants tonight. The other 2 may need till tomorrow.

I cant tell if these N toxic looking sugar leaves are new or not, but I can't imagine they'd be new with the drop in ppms...what you guys think? I see a couple K deficient looking leaves, but only on one plant.

If I’m right you are at about 6 weeks since 12/12 right? If so something went terribly wrong sorry. Not trying to be fucked up; I have my own problems in my grow but buds should be way way bigger

No arguments there lol, the past 2 weeks they've pretty much missed out on 90% or more of the budmass they've needed to put on. I'm just hoping that, even if it needs extra time to flower, I can still salvage a decent yield. I know it won't be near what it could've though. Live and learn I suppose, this is only the second photoperiod strain I've grown in the past 4 or 5 years growing the same few auto strains, so I'm just trying to get dialed back in with the nutes. I think Stltoe has it figured out, probably just overdid the nutes so bad that instead of just needing to reduce them, I should've done a full blown flush. Better late than never, about to go get the second plant flushing now.

So sorry Logan. When I had Nitrogen toxicity my plants never really got better. But I never properly flushed them. I think it may be best to start over so to speak. Come back with a good PK booster and put the damn things to work. I'm just so amazed that they look as good as they do

And quit counting weeks. Grow them like you've started over and just watch the trichomes. I really have no idea how long it will take.

Like I said I have my own problems I’m no expert but I read that if you over do the Ppms in a dwc it actually harms the roots I forgot exactly what it’s called. I actually have one dwc going in my room with my coco girls and I over did it and lost a good week of bud growth and noticed my Ppms were staying the same over the week when I had them to high; all the edges of my leaves got brown but since then I got it under control. IMO if you start again or even with this grow try about 700 ppm... dwc can’t handle has much Ppms As soil and coco from my knowledge

I think we're all screwed. I had a mishap with some peroxide in hydro and almost burned the roots off my plants. Mostly just one plant, but it didnt do the rest any favors. Our guy Logan here needs to get his into second gear and onword

Also idk what nutes your running but I would recommend a ratio of 1-1-2 or 1-2-2 and obviously with cal-mag if using r/o

Will do! I always try and wait for at least a good 80+% milky, 10% amber and 10% clear or something close for harvest. I'm in no big rush, they'll take as long as they feel like taking.

Yeah I'm in agreeance with you, last grow I sort of under-did ppm's and hurt my yield a lot and of course this grow I've overdone it haha. I think that if I had done a real flush on them when I realized I was overfeeding, instead of slowly lowering ppm's 100ish a day afterwards, it would've helped them a bunch. I'm thinking of getting White Rhino seeds again just because I'll be familiar with them and can really nail the nute side of it.

And yes I use GH's CaliMagic, I waited too long to drop the dosage from full strength to half strength and got my plants with some N tox as well. Combined with my CMH's being too close, only being my first whole grow with them, it was a one-two punch to them. I have them raised to about 30in above the tallest budsites now though.
Oh and without a doubt Stl, I feel good about flushing them I think we've ruled out about any other problem but just an OD on nutrients.

You may want to rethink the height when you start feeding again. Mine is probably 18" above the canopy. If your plants were feeling sick that might have helped the light burn get started.

Hopefully things turn around quickly! I use emerald harvest Cali pro two part full line up and they recommend I don’t even go over 900 ppm in dwc and nothing over 1300 in coco.

You may want to rethink the height when you start feeding again. Mine is probably 18" above the canopy. If your plants were feeling sick that might have helped the light burn get started.

I looked at the ones where he mentions n toxicity and a k deficiency.. I can’t tell you why they are glossy but the k def could and might be from the high Ppms locking k out with who knows what else could be locked out

It could have been both. Plants weakened by Nitrogen toxicity that caused an adverse reaction to the light. The shininess (?) Silica early and regularly possibly kept the issue from going completely wonky. If I remember correctly you used Silica? So loaded.

Yea I just looked it up and it was said to be caused by n overdose
