Hahaha yeah I'm starting to see that we are! And well no one bats a thousand, certainly not me lol. I got a sample of that z7 stuff years ago but had never used it. Oh and ouch man that sucks! Are they already flowering? I'm not sure how well roots recover, maybe if in veg they could rebound with extra time. If I did clones I'd definitely try SOG, but for now I'm going to try my hand at the ScROG setup.

Heres mine... I'm having a hard time with loading pictures. Well, it wasnt terminal, but the one plant, I think it's the third picture, got frazzled. I dont have a recent pic from above

I've gotta say man, even with the problems you've had those buds still look quite nice with all things considered...I mean, if I pulled a canopy full of buds like that on my current grow I would be content. But then again, my standards of bud sizes isn't exactly in the major leagues lol. In that last pic, do you have 2 plants in a single 5 gal container?

Thanks man. O have 2 17 gallon bucket repurposed from 2 Rainforest systems by Gen Hydro
I changed the tops around to allow for different numbers of plants. So next season will be 7 plants per tub. Right now I have 3 which is normal for me in RDWC.

Here are some pictures of my rig.

I wanted to show a bit more of my grow area. To be clear I'm not precisely sure what I've already shared. O talk to a lot of people. Since I smoke pot you'll have to excuse my shakey memory.

So, I grow in a shed in Southern Ca. About 40 miles East of LA. In my shed is a 4x6 grow area (photos above) and a 3x3 closet that i usually grow the same strain in soil as what's on in hydro. For lights i have a XXL HPS, and a CMH in the main room, I was going to buy another CMH to balance it all out, but I'm going back to LED. In the closet is a Spectrum King LED I hated this light for a long time, bit I found its niche, growing mothers. Theres a lot going on in the shed, I'll spare you of most of it. I will say that I have (need) AC. I have a window unit stuck in the wall just above my dehumidifier. I cool my res. with a 6 inch fan. I can lower my nutes by 10 to 15 degrees from the ambiant. I bought a chiller but it arrived broken... I had to do something.
The walls are all heavily insulated, and are sheeted with aluminum coated OSB.

First picture is of the closet in full swing. This little room usually does pretty well. Good lighting, good soil, nutes and a good strain. This was Ayahuasca Purple

Next pic just shows the walls with nothing on them. Those were the days!

Third pick was early on the grow that did 27oz. I think I showed that one.

Fourth pic is of my res. Float valve, etc.

Fifth is of the outside

Sixth though eighth is of a grow I did in soil. I got a very nasty bug in my hydro and pulled all the plants in soil to save them.

The rest are a study in how messy someone can make a grow. Then I ran out of room.

I use 12gauge 50 foot extension cords to sort out my electricity. I have a 15 amp line (black cord) and a 20 amp. (White). Each cord has 6 outlets. I was gonna hard wire it, but I've made so many changes I'm glad I didnt. Well there you have it. I wish it were larger, but it is what it is.

I get shelled all the time for my little 19 dollar fan. No one believes me that it works. I did it because I had no functional chiller and had seedlings on borrowed time. It works well for me. The chiller I bought was almost $500, and would have taxed my power big time
I regularly run my room temp at 85 and my water rarely goes over 70.

There are so many benefits to RDWC. Adding nutes, Ph, water level, and chilling the nutrients amongst others. The water temp should be much easier to control than separate pots.

At some point in the future I'm definitely going to go RDWC...but for now, despite the extra work load it's created, I like being able to give each individual plant a custom tailored nute solution. I also like being able to do res changes on one or two plants a day instead of draining and refilling all the water for a res change, which can be a bit tough for me due to physical constraints and what not. And hey if that fan works then don't fix what isn't broken. :)

I think once you make it RDWC you'll love it. Yeah I dig my fan

Yeah it sounds pretty nice. So, it looks like I'm having both my PH AND my PPM's going up on a daily basis these past couple days. Only going up in ppm's by about 50-100ppms, and PH only rises by about .1 or .2, but I just thought it was weird.

The chart Axion had can probably help

Good idea Stl, just checked it and it says to lower ppm's with that situation, so I suppose that it supports what I was already thinking. Will post update pics in a couple hrs when my CMH lights kick on so that I can turn off the HPS for an accurate picture. I've noticed that since I made the drop in ppms from 1500 to 1100-1200, my plants are drinking probably twice as much nute solution on a daily basis...so, the drop in nutes must've benefited them. Fingers crossed that I'm close to dialing them in. I can't be too far off point!

Nice. Glad you got a handle on it.

I cant tell if these N toxic looking sugar leaves are new or not, but I can't imagine they'd be new with the drop in ppms...what you guys think? I see a couple K deficient looking leaves, but only on one plant.

I'm not 100% sure whether it was the light or the N tox that created the shiney look. I think it was the cmh's being too close. And ugh I know it's frustrating the hell out of me..I just feel like something is still out of whack for the buds to not be exploding.

Could they still be recovering from the high nutes and close lights that has held them up the past week or two?..Oh and I checked, as of today I'm 4 weeks and 4 days past the first preflowers

If theres a excess in the plant it's got to burn off before the plant can get back to feeling better. To be honest they should have been flushed when I started up on this thread. I'm sorry i should have pushed harder for it. If I were you I would flush it with Ph water for at least 3 days, then start nutes at 900, just to get them back in the saddle.

I say this cause they really havent moved at all.
