Sovereign citizen is an oxymoronic term. A person can't be sovereign and also a citizen by another persons (singular or plural) definition.

I fought in that war. I cleaned up the messes they made. We couldn't pull out of Iraq because of the insurgency that Iran was running. I don't have a television. I also speak Arabic.

We engineered the overthrow of a democratically elected government and installed a brutal dictator who murdered tens of thousands of innocents. The people of Iran have not forgotten what the United States did to them and they sure as hell aren't going to trust us at our word after we walked away from a treaty negotiated in good faith.

It's called blowback and it's about damned time America put its big boy pants on and took responsibility for the shameful way we have treated the Iranians for the last 60 plus years.

Remember that Iran hasn't attacked anyone in over a century; Saddam's Iraq attacked them- and lost.
