Surprise! Oliver North was too corrupt for the corrupt NRA (or is it the other way around?)

The NRA is slimier than pig diarrhea. This morning Trump tweeting warnings to the NRA about NY state authorities investigating the organization. What a President. Railing against law enforcement. Laws passed by past politicians. Not imposed by assholes like himself.
He always disrespected laws as a businessman. He'd break laws and sued anybody including governments who got in his way. No different as president. The people who voted for him knew that too. The narcissist in chief treats the NRA as a band of rogues with whom he has made a temporary bargain. As long as the NRA supporters support him, he's going to treat them as part of his gang. Values mean nothing and laws are simply legal barriers to Trump.

Why he adored Roy Cohn.

I wish I could have a gun, I only want 1 rifle nothing crazy, just a .22LR to shoot rabbit, squirrel and coyotes. Maybe some occasional fun at a range every now and then.

I liost my gun rights forever when I committed a non violent and victimless felony years and years ago. I got caught growing some weed. I know I'm a terrible person for that and cannot be trusted around firearms for the rest of my life. I'm a very dangerous criminal. I'm the worst kind of person in society.

In all reality, there's nothing stopping me from making a private purchase. There's always posted guns for sale up at the little mom n pop party store by my house. I'm pretty sure the local farmer isn't going to do a background check on me if I wanted to buy his gun for sale. Only thing is though, if I was to get caught with a gun being a convicted drug felon, that is a federal crime. I'm a little bit scared of taking that chance lol.
When Cousin Wayne got popped, he ask the sheriff what to do with his guns. Sheriff told him that his wife could keep them in her side of the closet. Might not be as lax where you are, but you might check on someone else owning the gun and just store it at your place.

Australia

“A married One Nation Senate candidate has been filmed groping an exotic dancer in a strip club and asking her to come home with him.

Steve Dickson, Pauline Hanson's right-hand man, was last month embroiled in controversy after being secretly filmed alongside party colleague James Ashby by international media organisation Al Jazeera, seeking donations from powerful gun lobby groups in the US.”

Right wing Christian conservative family man goes to DC and goes wild. They’re jealous of our freedoms. Here to bum money from the NRA.

All people have a right to be armed. All people have a right to defend themselves.

The NRA might be "controlled opposition".

You only use black peoples fight when it suits you. You are against the Civil Rights Act. You would allow a black man to be refused service or obtain a job based on the color of skin. You will argue the same argument of a racists.
You are an English guy ..whats the old sayin about birds feathers flocking together

I usually side with the people who recognize that's it's okay to use defensive force and disavow the use of offensive force. I don't care which race(s) a person is if they get that.

I'm against the Civil Rights Act because it doesn't protect every persons equal right to control their own body and their own justly acquired property.

I don't have the right to "allow" or disallow other people of any race from controlling themselves and their property. Where did you get that right from? (I bet you don't answer that)

Actually I'm part Denisovan and ate a bird feathers and all. I didn't give a pluck!

Florida teachers can now carry a gun in the classroom. Who wants to bet that the first person shot by a teacher in school will be a unarmed student of color and not a so called school shooter?
I taught as a clinical instructor at a medical magnet high school in Texas for 3 years. There’s no group of adults less prone to violence or handling it. Any kid could easily disarm most. What a stupid solution. An untrained but armed person is a target. “If we’re gonna take a bunch out we have to drop old lady Roberts first thing.”

Hasn't a teacher already been fired for threatening students with a firearm?

This isn't even the case I remembered. Apparently it isn't so rare. Now that's a disturbing thought...

By a bit of simple extrapolation, it's easy to see that all government school teachers derive their pay from threats of use of a gun. It's not rare, it's so "normal" that your cognitive dissonance will allow you to overlook it and even justify it.

I wonder why that doesn't disturb you?
