I did some major rearranging this morning. I need my veg-room back. It took a few days of considering options to figure it out.
The "flower" room now has my "Christmas wreath" :) and my 4 plants for the dyna-gro contest.

The once and future "veg room" has about a week before it is empty. Then it gets a good cleaning including filters, foil on the wall, and the tent plants moved in.
IMG_8750.JPG The 65w in the tent seems to be doing OK vegging the manifold, so that is definitely something to keep in mind.

But it will do better under better light. So initially it will have the veg room to itself while these get ready in the tent, and I'll probably flip the NL when I harvest the 5-gallon skunk. The Skywalker OG is out of the gates like a champ, the Bruce Banner is popping a curl, and the black widow will be a lolligagger. If it doesn't pop, I get a new one - and 2 plants at a time is better anyway.

The Black Widow still hasn't popped, but the other two are cool. I pried open the rooter for the BW, the seed has a crack, so it may just be slow. IMG_8772.JPG

5 days, and still no pop on the black widow. I took it out of the rooter and stuck it in a wet paper towel in a zip-lock just to make sure. I think this is a sign to stop growing so much... Next time will just be a black widow, then I'll figure out a rotation for a seed every month or so.

to remind me not to LST those limbs if I am looking at it from the side.​

I added about an inch of dry soil to the tops of the cups to cover the rooter-pods, and help prop up the Hulk.

I stumbled on it, and the prize pot was a box of nutes, or some dyna-gro t-shirts...
They have gotten donations of prizes and the pot is now worth thousands, and just over a dozen people not DQ'd for one reason or another. No real specific requirements, but I think if I get these to harvest still looking healthy I have a good shot.

Yes! And I agree! I had to do a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. One uses it's own cal-mag, one is feed feed water, and I make RO water for it all LOL
I had a shelf full of different nutes, and I am trying to settle on one. I am not even looking for the "best, fattest, etc." if it costs a lot. I think the plant genetics plays more of a role than nutes for that. I'm looking for easy, reliable, and one that doesn't burn the hell out of the plants by the end.

No. I started with Fox Farms (like pretty much everyone), then I got their8-pack of additives like Microbe-Brew, Wholly Mackerel...
I got their Gringo Rasta 3-pack to try something different, and it was good. I got the Gen-Hydro dry nutes (Maxi-gro, Maxi-bloom...) on a recommendation and I like their ease fo use. Last, since it was a Dyna-gro contest I dropped $30 on their sample pack of nutes.

So I have
FF original Trio plus everything else on their soil feed chart,
FF Gringo-Rasta Trio (also used the FF crystals like Open Sesame and Beastie Blooms)
General Hydroponics dry nutes, and
Dyna-gro

Whatever looks best at the end wins, and the rest goes to feeding tomatoes ;)

Nice.. you should try jacks sometime.. like 2 years worth is $50 and my plants have been super happy on it.. Just my .02 :)
