That is rhetoric from leftist politicians. What are you talking about not paying a living wage? Unemployment is low, like really really low. If you aren't paid a decent wage, go find a new job. Join the military, they give you two hots and a cot along with decent pay that you can stick in the bank.
Decent businesses pay decent wages to employees that are worth it and if they don't they wont be around long.
I doubt you have ever had a business but if you did you would know how hard it is to find good employees, especially now with the way millennial's commit to working hard. Become an electrician, become a carpenter, learn a trade that can get you ahead. Stop listening to losers that tell you everyone needs college. Its a government scam to get interest from you. College achieves nothing for so many except putting them in a hole filled with debt. Another word of advice is not to get into deep debt with things that don't make money for you. $50000 in debt for a car is ridiculous but it is common place today. It is also a scam and only perpetuates the need to earn more.
To be fair, I look at city folk and don't know how they do it. I wouldn't live in the city if you paid me. Living in the city means you are dependent on others for life. Dependent on farmers to grow their food, dependent on services for virtually everything.
I build my own shelter, I cut my own wood for heat, grow/slaughter/hunt a lot of my own food, and wake up early almost everyday to squeeze more work out of 24 hours to be an example for my children whom I also teach at every chance.
People can get ahead but not by feeling sorry for themselves and expecting politicians to wipe their ass for them.
No wage is going to help people that are already sinking in debt. You cannot get around that. Min wage certainly isn't the answer, but of course clueless politicians will run on it.

Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell describe how min wage lowers the cost of racial discrimination. Priceing low skilled workers out of the job. Its not rocket science. Of course most think the min wage is a good thing. The road to hell is paved with good intentions though. The Davis/Bacon act did not help black america. Blacks were leaders in the construction field all over the country at the time, and labor unions put an end to that with this act. This was coordinated racism masked as kindness. Sounds like the Democratic party.

Most people are clueless on what it is and what it takes to do business in China.
First off, China isn't looking after fair play from anybody for anybody. China simply wants its cut.
- You are GOING to pay them to do business there.
- After you pay them, their people are going to run your business FOR you.
- After they are running your business for you, they are going to hire their workers that you have to pay.
That is what it is and what it takes to do business in China.
Now, the question everybody should be asking themselves is this: why would ANYBODY want to do business with China when those are the terms?

I met a guy the other day that comes from the border with BRAZIL. IT took him 50 days to walk to the Colombian Border. It's 250 miles from the Colombia-Venezuela Border to Bogota. These people walk. No money, no food. No breakfast.
All they eat in a day is sometimes half a pound of bread and a liter of a soft drink- THAT IS IT.
60 days to reach the border with Ecuador. 100 days to get to Quito.
ON FOOT. Bogota is a 'cold city' - what I mean is that there's no 'heating' anywhere. Every night it drops into the 40s. These guys sleep outside. You are walking. Everything you have is on your back and all the money you have left is in your pocket, and Bolivares are so devalued they'll give 100.000 bolivares for 200 pesos.
I've been given FREE bolivares by venezuelan dudes I've met because the currency ain't worth shit.
To reach Bucaramanga from Cucuta you cross one of the coldest tropical forests in the world, temperatures drop into the 30s EVERY NIGHT. these people don't 'camp out' make marshmellows and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa.... They had a 3-person team on the ground, Colombian Reporter, colombian cameraman and a Spanish Producer.
All 3 were intercepted by Venezuelan Intelligence services last night and remanded into custody to an unknown location as they arrived at the hotel they were staying in. Her husband has not heard from the reporter since 9pm last night when she told him "we're being intercepted by Venezuelan Intelligence - I love you very much".
You want to know why the truth out of Venezuela isn't being reported as faithfully as it should? This is why you don't know what the fuck is happening on the ground in country. It's because the Maduro Regime has very methodically torn apart independent critical journalism from within Venezuela. You don't know what you are talking about because it is by design. You are falling for Maduro's manipulation game and it is sad.
It is sad that people like that team of journalists have risked their lives and people like you still talk out their ass....
