Progressive political positions are not "far left", they're in lock step with the majority of voters

"Moderate" Demcorats (aka conservatives) like to try to paint progressive issues like Medicare-for-All or universal college as "far left" ideas because they accept huge amounts of money from special interests against said progressive ideas. But when you poll the American people, they largely agree with these same progressive ideas. So if most of the American people agree with the progressive platform, how can it accurately be labeled "far left"?

Are the critics saying the American people by and large are "far left" in their political views? These same critics claim the exact opposite, that the American electorate is more conservative than mainstream media reports..

So, moderate Democrats, maybe you guys can help solve this mystery

You should also stop calling our policies "far left" when most Americans support them. Just a tip

"the only poll that matters is the vote" is a copout to actually addressing public opinion and ignores every mechanism that influences voting, like voter suppression, and gerrymandering, and is not a valid response. That's actually not the only poll that matters.. Polls since the 2016 election, which took place 3 years ago, are extremely relevant to winning in 2020.

Polls are meant to shape opinions, not measure them. I will never trust/believe what any poll says

Good to see the left still has yet to learn from 2016 and 2018... where is that blue wave again?

I think its really funny how so many people treat the idea of progress forward as a society into a future filled with change as a bad thing. This happens with both major parties and with humans in general. Change is hard to swallow, but changing and trying to actually become better then our past selves is the only path that leads forwards. Learning from our past mistakes and actually trying not to repeat them.

republicans hate change....they would like to take us back to 1800....when women and minorities didn't get to vote

Socialism is change towards the past with examples of its failures all over the world. Sorry.

lol who said anything about any sort of political system...not me. Which most likely makes you part of the problem. Your assuming things and resorting to attacks rather than actually thinking about ways to benefit society. Do you have kids? Would you like them to have any sort of world to live in when they grow up? I have a daughter and the infighting between political parties is not in the best interest of your family, my family, the american people or the world.

Thanks for playing though because you obviously don't get it, and you choosing your response the way you did shows that clearly :).
