just top your plant

cut the stem at the seventh node at a 45 degree angle. this will cause your plant to consentate more on growing out then up

I think I heard that topping causes the quality of the bud to go down... I think because the top is where the strongest buds will be located... Someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I've been thinking about topping if these broads(wishful thinking) get much taller.

i was thinking of just taking the light away from the top and put it on the sides that might make it no grow so tall

just get the light closer. when the light is too far it causes the plant to strech and search for the light

To be honest, you dont even need to bend the entire plant, just the branches that you wanna keep low. Check out my journal. Ive LSTished all of my plants, and neither of them are over a foot. I actually measured the plants tied down, and also untied and i took into account the length of the branches. Tied down the plants are 11 inches and 9 inches tall. Untied and counting the branch length, the plants are both 1 foot 9 inches, and 1 foot 8 inches. So basically im keeping almost a foot of height off of each plant. It works pretty good, and you dont have to go through the grief of doin the full on, wrap around the pot LST. My way you can actually leave them and re-tie them about once every 2 weeks, until flower. Once flowering youll probably have to move up to once every week for the first 4 weeks, but its worth it, n a little easier IMHO.

Good luck in your grow, whatever u do bro.

If i took the light off the top of the plant and put it along the side would that decrease the chance of not growing so tall?

Not the best idea. Bend the top down some and it will make the side branches grow. Before long they will catch up to the main top.
