Actually, FFOF is notorious for being a hot supersoil. People burn pretty often, particularly planting seedlings in it undiluted, I believe. Mixed with Happy Frog should make it a bit easier, though. I prefer soilless organic mediums to actual soil, personally.Ocean forest is not too hot of a soil. It's never burned a seedling. My plants thrive in it. I've mixed it with happy frog 50/50 and it was great. I've yet to have any gnat problems other than when I grow outdoors with it. The gnats are all over it outdoors. Great soil. Don't listen to the morons like @UncleBuck
